I was lucky enough to see the incredible innovations in robotic surgery practiced at Watford General recently. This is the future of healthcare, with better outcomes for patients. Thank you to the team working so hard to care for Watford’s residents! watfordobserver.co.uk/news/2…

Another great surgery session this week at Meriden Community Centre. Helping Watford residents face-to-face is one of the best bits of my job. If you would like to meet with me, please contact my office at [email protected]

Sometimes, everyone needs a Friday night off. So, tonight I left behind the crazy world of politics and went to see The End Of The World According To #JonathanPie! At the #WatfordColosseum. And very funny it was too!

I worked on the Sporting Events Bill Committee. This is when a small group of MPs work together to scrutinise a Bill in detail. Here, I’m asking about provisions for smaller sporting events, like we see at Vicarage Road. Now the Bill will go back to the Commons for further debate

If you’re having major cosmetic surgery, this Labour government will protect you from rogue operators. High-risk treatments, including some fillers, vampire facials and some laser procedures will be restricted to medical professionals, protecting patients.

I get the train into London from Watford and we all know what it’s like when people play their music and videos. Headphones 🎧 = the future!

Safe to say I dived into Surfers Against Sewage’s swim for clean water at #LPC2026! After talks from Phil Brownlie, Swim England, and Lisa Nandy, Culture, Media and Sport Minister, I joined fellow MPs in a ‘dip in the dock’ to highlight the importance of clean, unpolluted water.

The @whhospcharity does amazing work. It was a delight to join them first thing this morning for the first part of their sponsored charity walk as the beautiful sunshine shone through the autumnal beauty of #CassioburyPark. Well done!

It was wonderful to join some of the Navaratri celebrations in Watford again – a fabulous evening of music, food, and my attempts to keep up with the dancing!

It was great to catch up with Ade Rawcliffe from ITV, and chat about the importance of women’s sport broadcasting to inspire young girls. In Watford, girls do 2 hours less sport per week than boys – let’s close that gap!

I am delighted that 56% of Watford’s young people aged 5-18 are covered by Mental Health Support Teams in education settings. Watford is on track for 100% coverage in January 2028, two years ahead of schedule. The mental health of young people is vital. Well done Watford teams!

This week is Baby Loss Awareness Week. I deeply sympathise with anyone who has experienced pregnancy and baby loss. Bereavement leave rights have now been extended to parents who experience a pregnancy loss before 24 weeks - nobody should suffer this tragedy unsupported.

Today is International Day of the Girl. In Watford, girls do 2 hours less sport per week than boys – let’s close this gap! It was great to visit Watford Ladies’ FC lately to see the incredible impact the team is having on the community. A real inspiration! watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/…

Today is World Mental Health Day. Looking after our mental health is as important as looking after our physical health. I am delighted that Watford General will host a new Community Mental Health Centre, bringing mental health and specialist teams together under one roof.
