These children are in the green again. No longer suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM).
This life-saving work is only made possible thanks to all those who have donated!
Our child malnutrition treatment programme consumes a considerable portion of our resources, but we continue to run it because it has proven to be highly effective in treating Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM), with the majority of children returning to a normal weight by the end of the programme. As can be seen in these photos.
If you would like to support our work, the link is in the reply. Thank you🙏🏽

‘The appointment of Nusseibeh, who has been the face of the UAE’s Sudan strategy, would be a slap in the face to the millions of people suffering the horrors of war, and a dereliction of duty towards those thousands who have already been killed.’

The same site had remained largely empty until 5 Oct, but was full of supplies and vehicles on 20 Oct.

Lana Nusseibeh’s denials of UN reports over Sudan were no isolated incident. Her record on Libya tells the same troubling story of disregarding the UN that she now campaigns to lead.
In 2019, UN investigators established repeated UAE violations of Libya’s arms embargo. In May 2020, they uncovered a suspected covert UAE airbridge supplying Khalifa Haftar’s forces. Yet Nusseibeh declared these findings “false” and denied them “in their entirety.”
She dismissed the UN evidence in a way that raises serious questions about whether defending Abu Dhabi took precedence over respecting UN investigations. Now she wants to lead the very institution whose investigators she dismissed.
When UN evidence implicates @Lana_Nusseibeh’s own government, whose interests will she defend: the United Nations’ or Abu Dhabi’s?

Nusseibeh’s role in covering up the UAE support for the genocidal RSF should disqualify her.
In some ways, @Lana_Nusseibeh is a compelling candidate for UN Secretary-General. She's a woman from a moderate Gulf country and has a record of effective diplomacy -- but unfortunately she has proven her effectiveness by backing the UAE's role in arming the RSF militia as it has engaged in mass murder and mass rape in Sudan, in a rampage that both the Biden and Trump administrations have called genocide. So, sure, an effective diplomat is wonderful -- but not if the effectiveness is divorced from values the UN is meant to promote. No doubt she thought she was simply supporting the policies her country's leaders set. But hundreds of thousands have died in Sudan, as best we can tell, and she has helped lead a UAE diplomatic effort that has lied about it, covered it up and persisted in it even as the slaughter continues. Shouldn't that be disqualifying?

In July 2024, Lana Nusseibeh publicly and categorically rejected the UN Panel of Experts’ findings of credible evidence that #UAE supports the atrocities and genocide committed by the Rapid Support Forces (#RSF) militia in Sudan.
Confronted on CNN, she declared: “No. Those allegations are categorically untrue.” Asked directly whether she disputed the UN experts’ findings, she replied: “Yes, absolutely.”
Now, Ms. Nusseibeh seeks to lead the very institution whose findings she so emphatically dismissed in defence of her government. How can she possibly be entrusted with that responsibility? The fundamental question is not whether Nusseibeh was entitled to defend her regime. It is whether someone who placed that defence above the credible findings of UN experts can genuinely be entrusted with upholding the independence, integrity, and authority of the United Nations.
Why should the world trust her judgment when the UN’s findings conflict with the interests of the very government that nominated her? The UN highest office is not for protecting a criminal regime from scrutiny and accountability. The seat of the UN Secretary-General should not be for sale!

On October 26th, we mark one year since the wound of El Fasher. We come together to commemorate the first anniversary of the genocide, reaffirming that our memory is alive and will not fade.
We chose 'Red' as the color for this memorial—the red of solidarity, truth, and justice. This symbol did not emerge from a void; it was drawn from the grim reality of satellite imagery that documented the bloodstains of the victims on the ground. From the depths of this pain, we transformed that blood into a living emblem of remembrance and a resounding rejection of silence.
This campaign is more than just a commemoration; it is a global, humanitarian call to tell the survivors: you are not alone. It is a plea to stand united for the truth, ensuring that the souls of El Fasher are never erased from our collective memory, and that impunity will never have the final word.

🇦🇪 Days before the one-year anniversary of the Rapid Support Forces' massacres in El Fasher, the UAE, the RSF's main foreign backer in its genocide in Sudan, has nominated its top diplomat to run the United Nations.
Lana Nusseibeh, the UAE's minister of state and envoy to the UN, announced her candidacy for Secretary-General on Wednesday. For three years she has been a public face of Abu Dhabi's denials, even as UN experts themselves documented Emirati weapons and money flowing to the RSF while it carried out massacres and mass rape across Darfur.
Those who have worked on Sudan were scathing:
🔸 Cameron Hudson, a former CIA Africa analyst and White House National Security Council director for African affairs: "It isn't just that UAE has been supporting the RSF, it's that Lana has been the UAE's chief diplomat denying the fact and defending the regime."
🔸 Jeremy Konyndyk, president of Refugees International, said Nusseibeh "must not be SG if she cannot first admit and condemn the UAE's complicity." He said he interviewed survivors of RSF massacres and systematic sexual violence in Sudan last week, including the mother of a 12-year-old girl who was shot in front of her. "Most if not all of these horrific violations were directly enabled by the UAE's support," he said, adding that the UN has documented it for three years.
🔸 Mohanad Elbalal, co-founder of Khartoum Aid Kitchen, said she "used her position as UAE Ambassador to the UN to cover up and gaslight" on the UAE's role, calling her candidacy "a direct insult to Sudanese."
Her bid has been cheered by figures who backed three years of Israel's genocide in Gaza while staying silent or covering for the UAE's integral role in the genocide in Sudan. Brett McGurk, former President Joe Biden's Middle East coordinator, called her "an inspired choice for this impossible job." Nickolay Mladenov, the high representative for Gaza on U.S. President Donald Trump's Board of Peace, has also praised her.
I am standing to be Secretary-General because I believe this is a moment to act with greater urgency: to act earlier, bring people together across difference, and drive the work forward until it produces concrete results. That is how we rebuild trust in the United Nations and ensure it delivers meaningful change for the people it exists to serve.

Lana Nusseibeh used her position as UAE Ambassador to the UN to cover up and gaslight on her countries role in sponsoring the genocidal RSF militia as it raped, murdered and pillaged its way across Sudan.
Presenting her candidacy as we prepare to commemorate the first anniversary of the genocide of Al Fashir is a direct insult to Sudanese and risks bringing the entire UN body into disrepute.

Last week in Sudan I interviewed many survivors of violence by the UAE-backed RSF.
Harrowing stories. 12yo girl shot in front of her mother. Terrifying, systematic sexual violence. Massacres.

Today Lana Nusseibeh, announced her long anticipated candidacy for U.N. Secretary General. As the UAE ambassador the UN and its foreign minister, she was the point person for the countries policy that directly facilitated the RSF's mass rape, sexual slavery, mass murder, and war crimes. The leadership of the RSF live in the UAE. For years she repeatedly lied to Western diplomats. The RSF continues to be trained and assisted by mercenaries paid and trained in the UAE, by an organization tied to the Abu Dhabi royal family. One mercenary joined a WIFI network named "attacker" during the RSF atrocities in Sudan. Nusseibeh's nomination itself is an insult to the core principles of human rights the U.N. is based on. Although it has been long planned her nomination is no less shocking to see. We should remember and disqualify those who support her nomination and those Westerners who assisted her genocidal policy.

We are pleased to announce that, after two days on the road, our assigned team arrived safely in El Obied with the 15.5 tonnes of food aid that they were entrusted to deliver.
The journey to the previously besieged city of El Obied remains fraught with danger, and we are grateful to our assigned team for having the courage and professionalism to make this aid delivery and distribution a success.
These pictures show the joy and relief of some of the 500 families during distribution.
We would once again like to thank our friends at Operation Olive Branch (OOB) for providing the grant to fund this delivery.
