🔈Tusky sunsetting is extended to March 19
Thanks to support from @walrusprotocol, Tusky is now able to extend sunsetting by another 60 days. You now have until March 19 2026 to retrieve your data.
Please use this time to retrieve all valuable data and consider the ecosystem options for migrating your data like @ZarkLab, @nami_hq, or @pawtatofinance

This is a hard update to share.
After a lot of consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to begin a planned shutdown of Tusky.
From the earliest days of Walrus developer preview through testnet and mainnet, this community helped turn Tusky into something real. To date, Tusky has uploaded 77.4 TB of unencoded data, actively manages 45.7 million files on Walrus. In the last 30 days alone Tusky enabled 3.7 million uploads across 47k distinct accounts. We've helped onboard great projects like Claynosaurz, Pudgy Penguins, ONE Championship, Collective Memory, Humanity Protocol, Unchained Podcast, 3DOS, Swarm Network, Anima Labs, Itheum, and many NFT projects. We’re deeply grateful to the users, developers, and partners who made that all possible.
While Tusky has demonstrated clear adoption, it has not yet reached profitability, and our efforts to fundraise have not progressed within the timeframe required at this time to continue operating.
Our priority now is our users. Tusky will remain accessible during a transition period, with continued access to accounts and data through the app, API, SDK, and public aggregator.
These services will remain available through to January 19, 2026, and we strongly encourage users to take action well before then to retrieve and back up their data. We’re also working closely with partners to support migrations where possible.
Full details, timelines, and next steps are in the blog below. Please take the time to read it carefully if you’re using Tusky today.

Thank you to everyone who trusted us, built with us, and believed in what we were trying to do.

Nothing beats hearing it straight from the builders 🔥
I put @nypple from @Collective_memo on the spot and asked for the unfiltered truth about building on @WalrusProtocol
I’ll let the video do the talking👇
Spoiler: @TuskyTools is doing the heavy lifting here and the devs love it!!!
Up from 10k/day to 30k–40k/day 💪
Tusky makes it happen 🫡
The builders on @WalrusProtocol never cease to amaze me.
@Collective_memo is the perfect example.
Last week, I sat down with @nypple, and I was blown away by what they are building: A social memory layer that is actually censorship resistant.
Listen to this👇
Claynosaurz OG, Saga & Claymaker Collections are now on walrus.tusky.io 👏🦖👏🦕
After NFT.Storage closed down, @Claynosaurz team have moved ALL their major collections to @walrusprotocol.
They're now safely stored alongside Popkins with the help of Tusky API and aggregator 🫡✊
Walruscan shows ~25k quilts published…
But Tusky alone has published 119k quilts, each packing over 50 files 🤯
How’s that possible?!
Tusky was shipping quilts in stealth long before it was official 🥷
So what’s our true share of all quilts out there? 97%, 98%, or 99%?
Let’s just say… Tusky is the Quilt King 👑
10 million files?! 🤯
Yup, you read that right 😉
Tusky’s tech is unlocking @Humanityprot so they can store 10 million files on @WalrusProtocol.
Tens of millions more expected in the coming year 💪
Humanity Protocol’s using our Zip Upload & Unpack feature (API & SDK only) to handle their millions of files ⚡️
