We still have not received any clear communication as to why @Twitter deactivated Twitterrific on Jan 13th.

As Elon tweets about transparency, developers and users of @tweetbot, @Twitterrific, and @echofon sit waiting 24 hours later with no word from @Twitter as to why APIs allowing third party apps stopped working.

To be clear, Biz “started” using “tweet” because Blaine Cook suggested it to @chockenberry while beta testing @Twitterrific in 2007 which got implemented into the software’s lexicon immediately.
And Ollie is the mascot of Twitterrific—predating Twitter’s bird icon.
