Utah State's defense deserves WAY more recognition this season.
Despite ranking #46 nationally in ESPN's defensive efficiency rankings, USU has faced FOUR top-50 offenses:
- Utah (#12)
- Boise State (#13)
- Colorado State (#30)
- Texas State (#32)
Compare that to the other G6 defenses also in the top 50:
- UNM (#14): 0
- NDSU (#16): 1
- Louisiana Tech (#35): 3
- ECU (#36): 2
- Liberty (#38): 0
- Louisiana (#45): 1
- USU (#46): 4
Utah State is the ONLY G6 program among these seven to have faced four or more top-50 offenses while still ranking inside ESPN's top 50 in defensive efficiency.
Utah State's defense is also one of 22 teams in the top 50 who have played at least four top 50 offenses and still rank in the top 50.
This unit deserves a LOT more credit than it's getting.

Last week, Utah State took on a Texas State offense ranked first nationally at the time in yards per game (562.3 yards/game) and ninth in scoring (40.0) and held the Bobcats to 262 yards and just 13 points (on offense).
This week, Utah State took on a Colorado State offense ranked 16th in total offense (460.1) and 12th in scoring (38.6) and held them to 263 yards and 14 points.

I can’t believe this team added Dallin Hall……
I’m ready to say some irresponsible things about this team
