🚨 Due to the impact of recent rainfall on traffic conditions, we expect some bus delays this afternoon and appreciate your patience as we safely transport our students.

🚨Due to severe weather forecasts, HCS will follow a 2-hour early dismissal schedule. This means your student's school will release 2 hours earlier than normal. SACC will not be open this afternoon.

All after school/extracurricular activities are cancelled. We will receive an update from the National Weather Service this morning and the need for an early release is possible as weather conditions evolve. We will communicate any schedule adjustments as we receive updates.

Please refer to the safety information below provided by the National Weather Service in anticipation of tonight's severe weather.

HCS will open on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, March 18, because of severe weather predicted for later tonight. HCS at Home students will follow their home school’s schedule. School-aged childcare locations will be open at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Although we've transitioned away from the Phase Tracker, it is more important than ever that we continue to follow the healthy behaviors in the HCS SAFE Pledge to keep schools open and safe for students and staff. Make sure you continue to review these steps with your students.

Hamilton County Schools is proud to offer a Behavior Hotline to support families who need assistance. Check out the flier below for more information.

ICYMI: HCS will follow the Phase 3 schedule March 15-19. Due to the increased access to voluntary vaccinations for our staff and our collective commitment to the SAFE Pledge, we are transitioning away from the Phase Tracker and this marks the last weekly schedule update.
