If you're doing this under the auspices of wanting users to be secure, I agree SMS isn't the way however tech still hasn't closed the knowledge gap for many normies who do not and may never understand U2F. I use Yubikey. My Boomer father can't wrap his head around it. Fix that .

We have gotten a lot of questions about how to add a security key to your @Twitter account for #2FA. Here is a video walk though that shows the individual steps and how easy it is to set up a #YubiKey. youtu.be/yJlmAXHL6IE #securitykey #twitter

Was mildly concerned but…. If you’re using TOTP codes and disabled codes like this, you’re fine (for now)

Like I always say with content moderation, every social media site owner who is “pro free speech” meets their line eventually. For 4chan, it was anime child porn. For Facebook and YouTube, it was white nationalist terror. For Elon, it was people making fun of him.
Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended

The fact that verified users won't be able to change names anymore is tone deaf, yet again. - got married? You're stuck with your maiden name - transitioning? Dead name for life. - wanna promote your profession? Sorry. - forgot to change your name back after spoopy szn? Too bad!

OpenSSL 3.0.7 tarballs are posted here: openssl.org/source/openssl-3… It appears based on release notes that this is overblown. Would require a vulnerable TLS client to connect to a malicious server - more phishing-based attack versed remote RCE. #openssl
