Karen used to describe people who harassed others for minding their own business, and often with racism involved. Now you see a woman rightfully calling out some jackass for endangering the community and suddenly she’s a “karen.” The word is losing its meaning at this point.

A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.
Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties.
