CAF supports and profits from Israel's unlawful occupation. It is not an opinion, it is a fact.
This said: some of us came to the world to defend human rights, others to violate them.
No surprise that sexism goes hand in hand with the latter.
On Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd of September, four civil society organisations intervened before the Belgian Council of State, demanding the exclusion of the Basque company CAF from the National Railway Company of Belgium (NBMS/SNCB)ās ā¬3 billion contract to replace more than 600 trainsets.
CAF is deeply complicit in Israelās regime of illegal occupation and apartheid, as UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has recently affirmed.
During the hearing, the lawyer defending the NMBS/SNCB dismissed UNSR @FranceskAlbs, academics and civil society in saying: āfor a number of NGOs and academics, it is easy to summarily execute a company without a fair trial. But we cannot do that. Nor can we do so on the basis of a report by some lady who happens to have āUNā on her letterhead.ā
CAF is operating in Israelās illegal colonial settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory through its expansion of the Jerusalem Light Rail (JLR) in violation of international law.
Granting the contract to CAF would make NMBS/SNCB itself complicit in normalizing and whitewashing Israelās regime of unlawful occupation, racial segregation, and apartheid.
If CAF doesnāt face serious consequences for its criminal complicity, other corporations will follow. If we win, we set a precedent for accountability ā in Belgium and beyond.

Not only is Britain complicit in genocide, itās now trying to criminalize one of the only groups taking direct action against the weapons sellers fueling it. Palestine Action is being targeted for daring to confront these merchants of death. They must be defended.

If you ban Palestine Action, you ban all of us. We are all Palestine Action. Palestine Action represents us, and we represent them.
The heinous plan by the UK government to ban this heroic group is an endorsement of the Zionist genocide in Gaza and all Israeli crimes across the region.

Bring flags, bring instruments, bring banners, bring your mates.
Let's all show solidarity with Liam Ćg and stand against political policing and the attempts to silence and restrict Kneecap.
We will fight them in their court.
We will win.
