🗣REMINDER: Students who do not meet readmission requirements must appeal to the Readmission Appeal Committee (RAC) by Monday 3 January 2022, to avoid academic exclusion. Students will be notified by the 22nd - 23rd of December should they not meet readmission requirements.

Second and third tier residences, who would ordinarily be permitted to stay during the mid-year vacation, will have had no changes to that arrangement and thus will incur no extra costs regardless of being on Financial Aid or not.

Students will not be required to vacate following their final mid-year exam as per the 72 hour rule. Student Housing are currently refining the logistics around this decision of which any necessary communication will be made.

UPDATE ON RESIDENCES DURING VACATION The University has accepted the SRC proposal to permit all residence students to remain in residence during the vacation. Costs will be covered for all Financial Aid students. This comes after SRC members’ tireless efforts and hard work.

🗣 ANNOUNCEMENT: Taking action against queerphobia. The SRC stands in support of the call for #JusticeForLulu and accordingly extends this call to all students to avail themselves tomorrow. Students are to meet at CPUT at 11am. Jammies will be provided as per schedules.
