Long before Israeli authorities imposed the blockade on Gaza in 2007, they instituted some of the harshest apartheid policies and escalating closures over a period of three decades. These measures were calculated to permanently isolate Gaza, turning it into a sacrifice zone.

GLASsy Alum Spotlight! Brandon Mita, Class of ‘06, BA Poli Sci; former chairperson of Asian American Coalition Committee. Brandon was one of the fearless student activists who pushed for establishing this academic unit, a movement that began in 1991.
