The UNDP Afghanistan @GlobalFund team, alongside the UNDP Office of Audit and Investigations (OAI), visited Herat to assess HIV, TB and health system interventions, including TB screening for returnees at Islam Qala. The mission reviewed services, records and overall compliance.
On #DayOfTheGirl, UNDP’s #SESEHA project equipped 833 schools & health facilities in Afghanistan with solar PV, benefiting 812,000+ women & girls, including 4,410 female teachers & 1,607 female healthcare workers. It also trained & deployed 20 female solar PV technicians.
Afghanistan’s future depends on the opportunities available to its girls today.
