Clinical Tip: Does your patient have both dementia and diabetes? Are they on insulin? Is their HbBA1c < 8%? If so, time to reduce insulin dose with hope of discontinuing. Harms of tight control far exceed benefits. Insulin use puts also huge burden on caregivers
