I'll explain: USF was the southernmost public university in the state when it was founded. Florida has traditionally been broken up into historic "North Florida," and more recently developed "South Florida." USF is in the heart of South Florida. Here's an old map for reference.

Don’t want to rush to judgement until we hear from those in charge but that UTSA game continuing last night isn’t sitting right with me today.

Dying at the Alamodome in front of a few thousand people and they still play the game afterwards and no one really gives a shit they watched you die
A U.S. Army officer falls to the field at high speed during a fast rope demonstration gone wrong during the Navy vs UTSA pregame tonight.
The officer was attended to on the field and taken to the hospital on a stretcher. There has been no update on his condition but we pray that he was not seriously injured.

Air Force confirmed the service member, a USAF Airman, died from injuries after the rappelling demonstration. It was not a fast-rope or Army officer.

Where’s the outrage of the navy football game taking place after that tragedy. All of you were ready to crucify Vince McMahon back in 1999 for going on with the show. #OwenHart
Perhaps the most disgusting thing about the UTSA incident is the lack of accountability from UTSA community.
They care more about looking bad and being embarrassed then about a brave servicemen who lost his life.
Fuck UTSA for real.
"He didn't die fast enough" is the excuse UTSA goons are making for why they still played.
Absolutely mortifying.

A poor Airman died doing a pregame stunt at UTSA game Saturday.
Horrific.
