The 2026 MLS Academy Guide is here.
I am very proud of this — nothing like it exists. Years of research, interviews and conversations.
If you're a parent researching academies or a fan interested in 🇺🇸 player development — this is your resource.

CB, Owen Hemphill, Chicago Fire
One of the best distributing CBs in this class. Right foot, left foot — doesn't matter. Between the lines, diagonals, over the top — he has it. And the defending isn't bad either. He will get physical and his profile is above average.
Well that sucks.
Cavan Sullivan is OUT for tomorrow’s match against New England.
He sustained a knock during yesterday’s training session, which has since developed into an ankle injury that will keep him out of tomorrow’s match.

Every touch from Albert in this first half with the U23 has made it clear he’s a cut above the rest, even with Inacio and Reggiani playing. It makes no sense that he isn’t getting regular minutes with the first team, especially given the lack of dribblers in the squad.
Updated some content in the article. I missed that this was AJ Gonzalez's first USYNT camp and he deserves a shout. He has been playing up for RBNY's U18s all year. I have not had a chance to scout him yet this year, but excited to.
The 2011 USYNT camp has 10 debutants, some of which I am excited about and the overall roster construction is logical. The 2011 generation continues to show it's extensive depth.

Visited some great people at Philly Union today. Beautiful facility and wonderful hosts. Excited to come back on Saturday for some Academy games and the first team game.

Kevin Martínez’s first U15 camp is set, and the 2012 roster raises questions.
Pine, Dixon and Gbla look like core pieces. But only one striker? And a lot of 10s again.
Reactions, a C- grade and 10 players I’d like to see next.

Fully new squad from the last camp. I don’t love the selections with the caveat that I haven’t seen all of these guys this year. The guys I rate: Colixte, Pine, Dixon and Gbla.
U.S. Soccer has named Kevin Martínez head coach of the U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team. Martínez will lead his first camp from Oct. 22-29 in Chula Vista, California 🇺🇸

Interesting new concept

I had a front row seat watching Paxon in Spain. He has the mentality you want in a winger — brave, direct and resilient in his 1v1s. What I worry about is whether he has the necessary burst and strength to win enough 1v1s at a high level. He struggled against defensive pace and power.
MLS 🇺🇸 U21 Impact Rankings
Habroune continues to rise after his third goal in as many games. Ellis adds his 10th assist. Harbor Miller flying a bit under the radar. Peyton Miller's G+ numbers are really, really good.
