Unbelievable. I just finished watching Lionel Messi's goal against New England, and I'm honestly struggling to understand the defending.
The goalkeeper practically gifted him the goal, while the defenders gave him all the space he needed.
This is the kind of defending Messi would rarely get away with in Saudi Arabia.
I genuinely believe Messi is desperate to keep scoring because he knows 1,000 career goals would be one of the greatest records in football history.
At this point, the numbers matter more than the performance. 😭💀

Lionel Messi is currently sitting on 428 career assists, which I find hilarious because he has been sharing assists with other players for years, and they still count them for him. 😭
The latest example was when Messi passed to Jordi Alba, Alba squared it to the striker to score, and somehow the assist was credited to both Messi and Jordi Alba.
