The Honorary Sheriff Award is one of the Utah Sheriffs Association’s highest honors, recognizing leaders outside law enforcement who exemplify integrity & service in support of sheriffs:
Cole Hartley, Jon S. Pierpont, Colonel Michael Rapich, Bryan S. Wheat, and Rep. Celeste Maloy
We join the Tremonton Garland Police Department and their community in mourning the tragic loss of Sgt. Lee Sorensen and Officer Eric Estrada, who gave their lives in the line of duty. We honor their service, their courage, and their sacrifice in protecting the public.
“Our association places a strong emphasis on continuous education and training,” said Kane County Sheriff Tracy Glover, president of the Utah Sheriffs Association. “These scholarships give driven, deserving individuals the opportunity to turn their passion into a profession.”
Amendment C establishes in Utah’s constitution that sheriffs will continue to be elected by voters. Sheriffs have been elected since America's founding to uphold law enforcement and protect civil values.
Amend. C ensures that how Utah does it now, is how we do it in the future.
