Okoye: Different motivations may exist for the same value. You can bring this back into your user personas and service requirements #UXBristol
Next, we're going to storyboard a scenario around one of the ethical challenges we've identified - either from the perspective of a user, or part of the internal workflow to make a product/service happen #UXBristol
Okoye: We have identified lots of interesting ethical challenges, including:
- Consent
- How to recruit diverse voices
-Digital exclusion
- Ethical approaches to financial remuneration
- Privacy and GDPR
- Sustainability
- Use of AI
#UXBristol
Okoye has kicked off her session by asking us to brainstorm examples of the ethical challenge we encounter - whether theoretical or technique based, at work or in wider discourse #UXBristol
We will be live tweeting from Florence Okoye’s session: Creating an accountability framework for inclusive design #UXBristol
In our final set of #UXBristol workshops, we welcome Florence Okoye on accountability for inclusive design, Eszter Hegymegi on research walls and @Bash on orientation skills for designers
You can read a full summary of Priyanca D'Souza's #UXBristol workshop at uxbristol.org.uk/2023/inters…
D’Souza:
Think of some circumstances where you felt excluded
Consider what barriers and challenges people might face in that situation
Consider how the barriers layer up and interact with each other
Think about how you would mitigate this
#UXBristol
D’Souza: "Accessibility" does not mean "technically compliant". You have to step back and take a wider view #UXBristol
We will be live tweeting from Priyanca D’Souza’s session: Intersectionality in inclusive design, a more holistic approach to accessibility#UXBristol
Next at #UXBristol, we’re delighted to hear from Priyanca D’Souza discussing intersectionality and inclusive design, @RajnishRazdan talking about tone of voice and Motunrayo Okpaleke exploring how to design emotions into conversation AI
