Tinubu panicked after @atiku pledged to reinstate fuel subsidy, then announced a haphazard N50 discount that is yet to be implemented. My advice to Nigerians is to vote out Tinubu and his incompetent team, and vote in @atiku to #BringBackFuelSubsidy & #MakeNigeriaAffordableAgain

To every founder, engineer, and dreamer gathered at the National Theatre in Lagos today for Moonshot by @TechCabal: you have built world-class companies in spite of policy, and I want to be the President who builds policy that works for you. I will give young companies tax relief in their early years. I will also make the government your customer by digitising public services, budgeting, and procurement, and I will require every new development to be fibre-ready. You have proven what Nigerian talent can do alone. Imagine what it can do with a government on its side. -AA #MoonshotByTechCabal #Moonshot2026

PRESS STATEMENT TINUBU MUST FACE NIGERIANS AT THE BALLOT BOX, NOT HIDE BEHIND EBOLA The ADC Presidential Campaign Council warns that reports of pressure on INEC to shift the 16 January presidential election, just 80 days away, cannot be dismissed. If President Tinubu believes Nigerians want another four years of his government, he should face them at the ballot box, not seek more time through the back door. The Council has received information that the INEC Chairman is to be summoned to the Presidential Villa and instructed to shift the election. We are raising the alarm before that meeting takes place. President Tinubu must abandon any such attempt. Professor Joash Amupitan must refuse any instruction to change the timetable and immediately make any such approach public. The election date belongs to Nigerians. It must not be rewritten behind closed doors at the Villa. Nigerians have endured three and a half years of soaring prices, shrinking incomes and relentless hardship. They have the right to judge this government at the ballot box on 16 January. A government that has made life this difficult for Nigerians must not be allowed to postpone its day of judgment. Ebola is a serious public health concern. Health professionals must be free to contain it, and INEC must take every necessary step to protect voters and election workers. The NCDC Director General has said there is currently no reason to postpone the election. That position must not be twisted into a political excuse for delay. The Council puts INEC, domestic observers and international election monitors on notice: any proposal to change the timetable must be made openly, supported by published health evidence and subjected to public scrutiny. The Presidency must not use a health emergency to escape an electoral verdict. Signed: Phrank Shaibu Director of Strategic Communication ADC Presidential Campaign Council

NIGERIA DESERVES ANSWERS, NOT ENDLESS BORROWING! At a time when millions of Nigerians are struggling with rising living costs, unemployment, and economic hardship, our leaders must be accountable for every naira borrowed in the name of national development. HE Atiku Abubakar has called for transparency and full disclosure regarding the Federal Government’s proposed foreign loans, insisting that Nigerians deserve to know the projects, costs, contractors, and repayment terms before any approval. This is what responsible leadership looks like: asking the hard questions, demanding accountability, and putting the interests of Nigerians first. Nigeria needs a new direction—one that prioritises economic opportunity, job creation, affordable living, and a better future for our young people. As we look towards 2027, the message is clear: Nigerians deserve leadership that listens, plans, and delivers results. The future of our country must not be built on unanswered questions. It must be built on transparency, competence, and accountability. 2027 is our opportunity to demand better. The time to rescue, revive, and restore Nigeria is now! PRESS STATEMENT ADC-PCC TO TINUBU: NIGERIANS DEMAND ANSWERS OVER SPOKESMAN’S ALLEGATION THAT MINISTERS BOUGHT APPOINTMENTS The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) has challenged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to respond to an allegation by his campaign spokesperson, Mr Alwan Hassan, that some ministers in his administration allegedly paid to secure their appointments and are now seeking to recoup their investments. The ADC-PCC said the allegation, reportedly made during a live television programme, raises serious questions about the integrity of ministerial appointments, accountability in government and the circumstances surrounding the selection of members of the Federal Executive Council. Hassan was reported to have stated that some ministers paid money to secure their positions and were now focused on recovering what they allegedly invested before turning their attention to the business of governance. The ADC- PCC queried " If substantiated, such an allegation would represent a grave indictment of the process through which public offices are filled and the principles of public service. It is particularly troubling that the allegation is attributed to a figure associated with the President’s political camp". The ADC-PCC therefore insisted that Nigerians deserve a clear and unequivocal response from the Presidency pointing out that "an allegation of this magnitude cannot simply be ignored or dismissed without a transparent explanation. "The allegation, if established, would suggest that ministerial appointments were treated as private investments rather than positions of public trust. It would also raise concerns about whether decisions affecting millions of Nigerians are being influenced by the personal financial interests of those entrusted with public responsibility. "At a time when Nigerians are grappling with rising living costs, insecurity, pressure on household incomes and persistent economic difficulties, the country cannot afford uncertainty over the integrity and priorities of those occupying its highest public offices". The ADC-PCC argues that the allegation raises fundamental questions about the administration’s much-publicised Renewed Hope Agenda and whether the interests of ordinary Nigerians are receiving the attention they deserve. "Public office is a responsibility, not a commercial transaction. Ministerial appointments must be guided by competence, integrity and a commitment to national service—not by financial inducements or expectations of private returns", the ADC- PCC stressed. The ADC-PCC, therefore, demands the following: 1. Immediate response from the President: President Tinubu should address the nation and clarify whether he is aware of the allegation, whether any investigation has been initiated and what steps his administration intends to take. 2. Clarification from Alwan Hassan: The spokesperson should publicly substantiate his reported claims by identifying the ministers allegedly involved, stating the amounts he alleged were paid and those who received the money. 3. Independent investigation: The appropriate law-enforcement and anti-corruption agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), should examine every shred of evidence of financial inducements connected to ministerial appointments. Anyone found culpable should face the full consequences of the law. 1. National Assembly inquiry: The National Assembly should consider a transparent public inquiry into the allegation, including inviting Hassan to clarify his reported remarks and provide any supporting evidence available to him. The ADC-PCC stresses that these demands are not a substitute for evidence or due process. Rather, they are necessary steps to establish the facts, protect the integrity of public institutions and ensure that any wrongdoing is addressed in accordance with the law...
