🚨 FORMER UPDF OFFICER ALLEGES 2021 GEN. KATEMBA SHOOTING WAS AN “INSIDE JOB”⚠️🇺🇬 Former military intelligence officer Lt. Herbert Matanda Mabonga has made explosive, unverified allegations claiming that the 2021 assassination attempt on Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala was an inside job. Mabonga made these claims during a recent broadcast of Mordecai Murrisa Live. Mabonga alleges that the June 1, 2021 shooting of Gen. Katumba Wamala, which tragically claimed the lives of Katumba’s daughter, Brenda Nantongo, and his driver, Haruna Kayondo, was not orchestrated by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels as the government initially reported. Instead, he claims the operation was assigned to Special Forces Command (SFC) commandos. He asserts that Gen. Katumba Wamala was highly respected and viewed within military circles as a threat to the "Muhoozi succession project". Mabonga has also drawn the late former Deputy Inspector General of Police, Gen. Paul Lokech, into the conspiracy. He alleges that Lokech aggressively investigated the shooting and intended to expose the SFC commandos involved, which Mabonga claims ultimately led to Lokech’s sudden death in August 2021. Officially, authorities and medical reports at the time ruled that Lokech died of a blood clot. Mabonga alleged that some of the commandos who failed to execute the mission were later killed.

🚨GEN MUHOOZI LABELS INTERNAL NRM CRITICS AS OPPOSITION INFILTRATORS 🇺🇬 Ugandan Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba warned internal National Resistance Movement (NRM) opponents that they will be dealt with as opposition infiltrators. 🚨“GUNS WERE PLANTED IN ELWELU'S HOME.” ~ WIFE Patricia Apolot, Elwelu's wife, strongly denied the claims that they recovered a significant stockpile of arms and ammunition from one of Elwelu's homes in Teso. She asserted that the security operatives conducted an exhaustive search of the main house (including bedrooms, bathrooms, and drawers) and found absolutely nothing. She explicitly accused soldiers left behind of planting weapons inside their kitchen. Apolot stated that any weapons found on their properties belonged entirely to the six state-assigned soldiers officially deployed to guard the retired general. At the time of the raid, she informed authorities that her husband had left for a period of isolated prayers more than two weeks prior and had not been in communication. Apolot also noted that her husband had anticipated hardships, recounting that he previously warned her that "no general has ever retired peacefully" and to expect such security actions.

Phaneroo Ministries lead pastor Grace Lubega has openly challenged the leadership of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) over persistent reports of citizen abductions and illegal detentions. A conflict involving a public clash between Dr. Kenneth Omona (State Minister and former Principal Private Secretary to the President) and Balaam Barugahara (Minister of State for Local Government) has erupted Hon. He claimed security forces crushed Elwelu's "rebellion" within a single week. After Gen Muhoozi issued an ultimatum on social media demanding his surrender, Elwelu turned himself over to security operatives at his office in Soroti City. While the army notes he surrendered because he was cornered, his family maintains his innocence. Gen Muhoozi stated via social media that Elwelu had been stripped of his ranks and demoted to a Private. The Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) confirmed that Elwelu will face formal prosecution before the General Court Martial without any special presidential safety guarantees.
