As long as India carry Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in their squad, there will always be hype around him, which will create the temptation to play him. The hype will go down the day he heads back and plays Ranji Trophy and is not in the India squad. #INDvsNZ

India will need to pick the right vice-captain who will help the next captain.

Tried my best to give more time, but I am disappointed that KL Rahul barely offers suggestions from the back. Any help here would help. He's a decent gloveman but can be more vocal. #INDvsWI

The only worry if that is not too strong a word is that Virat Kohli is using up all his runs 12 months before an ODI World Cup. He was in regal form in 2014 and 2018 but had mediocre WCs in 2015 and 2019. He was in a low ebb in 2022 and we know what happened in 2023. #INDvsWI

The best I have seen Rohit Sharma bat in a first match of an ODI series since Test retirement. #INDvsWI

There was a time when playing county cricket did a world of good for Indian cricketers. Dravid in 2000. Zaheer in 2006. Laxman in 2007. Hope playing for Yorkshire has had the same effect on Kuldeep Yadav. The best I have seen him bowl in a while. #INDvsWI

The BFC family is deeply saddened to hear about the untimely passing of sports journalist Naveen Peter. A warm individual who dedicated his career to celebrating Indian sports with unmatched passion, he told the stories of our club extensively from its early days, with a smile on his face. Rest in peace, Naveen. 🕊️ #WeAreBFC

You have to feel for Yashasvi Jaiswal. He can't play ODIs because a 39-year-old veteran wants to play the format. He isn't in T20 scheme of things because India are backing a 15-year-old. Opposite ends of spectrum.

It is exactly 1 yr since @cheteshwar1 retired and India may have finally found a stable number three.

As India gear up for 600th Test, one of the best stories ever written on the 500th Test in Kanpur. espn.in/cricket/story/_/id/1…

Kanpur - the inconvenience is not regretted

Kanpur doesn't come to mind when people think of cricket, and rightly so. The city's charms lie elsewhere - in cuss words, one-liners and providing occasional inspiration for Bollywood. | ESPN.in
