We are all saddened by the announcement that @R4Extra is scheduled for closure. Not only has the channel been the ideal outlet for the many programmes we have recovered, the staff have always been very encouraging, helpful, and, most importantly, have promoted what we do. (1/3)

I spend hours listening to programmes on 4Extra. It’s hardly going to be costly, to rebroadcast quality content, so leave it be. Stop wasting £ on that atrocity of a podcast called ‘Miss Me?’

I’m very disappointed to hear that BBC 3 & Radio 4 Extra are to shut down.
Radio 4 Extra is particularly sad, I first heard the wonderful ‘Paul Temple’ series on there, when it was still Radio 7!
I now listen to Paul Temple every day! (Even though I know all the stories!)
So disappointed about all three, but Radio 4 Extra is such a bastion of British culture, it's more important that you know, and it's this one that leaves me absolutely heartbroken. I'll be bereft.
