Experienced trader and investor:
Stock goes down 5%.
Him: (checks the company's fundamentals, valuation, financial statements and long-term outlook)
If the fundamentals remain intact, he doesn't let short-term market volatility dictate his decisions.
He understands that market fluctuations aren't necessarily a financial emergency, and that buying a stock is easy; having a sound investment thesis and the discipline to stick to it is the real skill.
