Replying to @anikoxyz
@anikoxyz is arguably the biggest reason Lagos has an electronic music scene worth talking about globally. In Vol. 3, we discuss what it costs to build one of Lagos most talked-about events, and what it takes to keep doing it consistently.

The answer came from traffic signals, which are made to be read instantly by anyone in their path. A three-figure logomark mapped to the signals, a Signal Red, Amber Hold and Clear Green palette, and a wordmark with a warped variation for when it needs more edge.

Our first cover star! Nifemi Marcus-Bello has spent years insisting that design has always been in Lagos. It was just being misread. We sat with him at his studio to discuss mastery, materiality and what it means to build a practice in Nigeria.

Volume three - Mastery Through Method. Mastery is not the presence of talent. It is the persistence of practice. It lives in the repetition nobody sees, the failure nobody documents, and the decision made in the middle of a process that only the maker fully understands.

Last year, we worked with Culture Lab on something we’ve been meaning to share. Not a rebrand. A brand made more itself.

In a world where everything looks the same, we make work that actually moves people. Work that makes you stop and feel something. We craft with intention, building creative work that resonates, not just gets recognized.

Duplicity explores duality, two sides in tension. We built the creative direction around contrast. Album artwork, photography, typography, promo, all designed to hold contradiction without forcing it. Case study: studiounruly.com/work/duplic…

BOAH 360 celebrates African heritage across art, music, fashion, and community. The identity needed to feel rooted, not borrowed. We built the brand from the Nok terracotta heads—a logomark drawn directly from their sculptural forms. Heritage as infrastructure, not decoration.

Palmwine Music Festival was reinventing itself every year. We gave them a brand system that evolves instead. Logo, typography, color, application, built for scale across cities and editions. Systems > campaigns.
