People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But they'll never forget how you made them feel.

my girlfriend and i were watching a movie when her phone lit up with a message from a man. i didn’t think much of it until she quickly turned her phone over. when i asked who he was, she said he was just an old friend. later that night, while she was sleeping, another message came in saying, “i still think about what we had, and i know you do too.” the next morning, i confronted her, and she admitted he was her ex but insisted they hadn’t spoken in months.

This is how to administer CPR
I just remembered a story a friend of mine, Jude, once told me, and honestly, it made me realise how important it is for everyone to know basic first aid.
There was a time Jude went to a field to play football with some street guys. You know how it is in Nigeria, everybody is catching cruise, playing ball, shouting at each other and trying to score goals.
But something happened after the match that turned the whole atmosphere upside down.
One of the guys he had been playing with suddenly collapsed on the field. The guy’s name was Emeka, and before you knew what was happening, people started shouting, “Emeka don die ooo! Emeka don die!”
Everybody was confused and scared. Some people were shouting, others were just standing there, not knowing what to do.
But guess what Jude did?
Instead of joining the crowd to shout, he stepped forward and started administering CPR on Emeka.
And boom! Emeka regained consciousness and was later taken to the hospital.
Omo, if you see the jubilation that erupted that day! People were happy, everybody was celebrating, and Jude became the hero of the day. They even gave him the nickname “Baby Doctor” because he had helped save a life.
But you see, the part that keeps me thinking is this: what if Jude wasn’t there that day? What if nobody around knew what to do when Emeka collapsed?
Thank God Emeka survived and is still alive today, living his life. Baba is even married now with two children! Imagine if that day had ended differently.
This story is a reminder that knowing CPR and basic first aid can make a real difference in an emergency. Sometimes, the few minutes before medical professionals arrive are extremely important.
We need to start teaching these things early, in our schools, homes, churches, workplaces and communities. Not everybody needs to become a doctor, but everybody should know how to respond when someone’s life is in danger.
One day, that knowledge might be what saves your brother, your sister, your neighbour, your friend or even a complete stranger.
Thank you, Jude, for stepping forward when it mattered. You may not even realise how much your action means, but you gave someone another chance to live.
Please, let us learn CPR. You never know when someone might need you.
