Prof. Orluwene Applauds FG Directive on UPTH Solar Connection
The CMD of University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), Prof. Chituru Orluwene, has commended the Federal Government’s directive to connect the hospital to the Energizing
Education Hybrid Solar Farm at UNIPORT, describing it as a transformative step toward solving UPTH’s power challenges.
He praised Dr. (Mrs.) Oyebola Akande (FMF) for clearing bottlenecks and assuring funding support, noting that reliable power is critical to quality healthcare
delivery, training, and research. The project aligns with the FG’s Renewed Hope Agenda and will significantly enhance service efficiency and sustainability.
