Urchfont Cricket Club

Who wants to play us tomorrow?!?! We have a team, we have a pitch, we are trying to avoid Sundays rain, all we need is a friendly XI to play against. No-one too 'leaguey' please, we're too old for that malarkey! #WiltshireCricket #potternecc #collingbournecc #wilcotcc

UVCC juniors at the Commonwealth Games yesterday. The England Women were inspirational both on the field & with the time they spent talking to the fans afterwards. Good luck tomorrow vs India! #Meetingtheirheroes @Danni_Wyatt @KBrunt26 @englandcricket

Ever in doubt about the spirit of cricket? UVCC has raised over £2000 for the Rainbow Trust & last night the charity hosted a private event at Cotswold Wildlife Park; 100+ children were treated like VIPs, had dinner with giraffes & got to see baby rhinos! #loveflo #raindbowtrust

Thank you @GrittletonCC for hosting us today. Fantastic tea & always played in a great spirit with plenty of laughter.

Off to @thehundred final tomorrow @HomeOfCricket with 3 UVCC juniors to cheer on the @BraveHundred. The girls can’t wait to see @_laurenbell2 & @amandajadew work their magic. @WomensCricDay

Inspired by watching @BraveHundred @thehundred on Monday we played our own Hundred last night against @KeevilCC. A great game played with great spirit & fun and a UVCC victory with 10 balls to spare. Not many 6s, we must have bigger boundaries than @thehundred!!! @WiltsCricket

Fantastic night @thehundred last night; two of our youngest girls from our newly formed women & girls squad loved it; @_laurenbell2 was awesome! Congratulations to @BraveHundred. @WiltsCricket

Congratulations to Oscar Fox, our youngest & arguably most keen member! Aged 11 he carried his bat with 103 not out for Wiltshire Development Boys U11s vs IOW this week at @swindoncricket. Huge praise to @Potternecc, Vinny & @DocPJW for their coaching! @WiltsCricket

Great game yesterday against @clanfieldcc . We managed to pull off a tight 6 run victory. Thanks to @BBCWiltshire and @NlySocial for putting us in touch. Hopefully an annual fixture now.

Did you hear Tony Fox proving once and for all that he has a face for radio on @BBCWiltshire talking about our last minute fixture against @clanfieldcc tonight? #GetTheGameOn

We've had a cancellation for a home game tonight. Team and pitch are ready to go, anyone else been cancelled on or fancies a last minute game. let me know!

Good luck to the team today taking on @Potternecc in a friendly at Urchfont. Will be some sore bodies with this being our 5th game in 7 days! #WilteshireCricket #getthegameon

2 games and 2 wins this weekend was a nice bonus but in truth it was just great that cricket is back. We have a large pool of social cricketers always wanting games so if your club wants a fixture just let us know. #FriendlyCricket #getthegameon

So our season has finally ended and what a year it has been. Time to look ahead to our end of season dinner on the 9th November. Always a great social event #WiltshireCricket

Looking forward to it already

What a day for cricket. 30 over game against Huddersfield YMCA down on tour. #WiltshireCricket #CricketTour19

UVCC hosted Riverside Ramblers (on tour) in a rain affected game yesterday. Full 60 overs played and a stunning tie at 150 runs a piece! 4 runs required off the last over by UVCC, 3 wides on the 1st ball, yorker got last man out on the 2nd. Cricket at its best! #wiltshirecricket

Great game against @chippenhamcc last night; tight finish with UVCC needing 11 off the last over & sadly we came in 4 runs short. Testament to the positive spirit of friendly village cricket against a young league based team. A new 2020 fixture! #wiltshirecricket #friendlycricket
