Cider has been awarded the honor of a "Must Have" app position on the Microsoft Store!
Expect promotional sales and updated page assets very soon!
Thanks for your constant appreciation and support, we're honored to have this award and will continue to provide the best possible!
Cider v4.0.32 is now released to finally solve the Widevine issue by dynamically linking system libraries on startup if Microsoft fails to properly update certificates on the component updater.
This process does not 'require' a client revisional update besides a frontend patch but it recommended anyway due to various performance improvements and memory improvements in the newer version.
Doing so will also handle this automatically rather than being shuffled off to our runtime environment making the process instant rather than taking a second on boot to resolve things.
As per usual, all of these issues are to fix Microsoft's own mistake and will be fixed when they get around to releasing a new WV2 version at some point but are in place now to ensure you have the best experience now and going forward in the event of a repeat incident.
Enjoy, more changes later today regarding C4A.
THE BUG HAS BEEN RESOLVED.
Only took a 2700 dollar investment for a surface ultra to reproduce, and we've made the ARM version of Cider faster while we were at it.
Safari's a terrible browser, but not all is evil.
We've added some comfortable and familiar animations to the app on certain interactions!
We've made even more improvements to the Windows client, with similar changes arriving to Mac and Linux.
The app is now much more snappy and responsive, and no longer needs a bit of time to clean up after itself after acquiring and relaxing certain data structures to relief memory pressure.
Here's a quick little demo!
Now available as 4.0.31, we recommend downloading the latest client from Taproom however as it requires new backend functionality to accomodate.
We've made a few changes to how the Windows client chooses to update its Widevine runtime libraries, now it'll look to see if they're stale and if they are, it'll refresh them for you.
This will be done either via the component updater, or by linking it from your installation of Edge and will require no input from you on launch while it verifies things.
This is effective later today provided you snag the latest client and you may notice playback begin to work the way you'd expect immediately.

We've updated our temporary shim to allow all songs, music videos, and other assets to correctly play as previously it were only a few per Apple's strange limitations.
A minor 4.0.30.1 update is being released to fix an issue with certain Windows clients being unable to play music because of a licensing issue on Microsoft/Google's side as they can't seem to ever have working services.
Should be out in the next hour.
Cider 4.0.30 is now available!
There are WAY too many changes for us to try and put into a xeet so you can find the whole changelog in the app itself and on our website shortly.
Enjoy!
Apple Music servers are having intermittent breakdowns - you might get signed out of Cider and C4A :(
We spent all night tightening knobs and twisting gears and lubing up every part of Cider to make it feel as fast as humanly possible.
You'll feel the difference immediately, so if you're returning, or brand new to Cider.
You'll love what we've done with the place.
You could be using another music app, or you could be using Cider.
Two choices, one correct answer.
