Local coding models will be good enough for the vast majority of our work within the next 12-18 months. The release of GLM 4.7 Flash only shows the trajectory. This model scores 59.2% on SWE bench.
It's easy to forget Claude Sonnet 3.5 scored only 49% and that was a great model only a year ago.

So today I'm thinking about Private analytics. We want behaviour analytics for our Private AI Chat (@UseWhisperAI) BUT with maximum personal privacy.
Every solution I've found out there tracks usage that is rather invasive.
Chatting with @willlamerton, and we're considering a "federated analytics" solution. I'm interested what the community makes of it - see below.
It doesn't report an individuals time or usage, but instead aggregate "weights" of user interest across a product, sharing this data in a federated fashion between users.
Imagine each user’s device keeps track of how often they use different features locally:
“Voice Mode used” → 1 point
“Long conversation” → 1 point
“Used search” → 1 point
“Asked about prompts” → 1 point
Each device updates its own tiny set of “interest weights” without sending any raw data or timestamps anywhere.
Every few hours, the device sends only the updated weights, mixed with noise, to a shared aggregation service, ideally self-hosted.
