The Utah executive branch continues to push the development of high density housing when there isn't a shortage of homes.

Can you believe Obama was getting royalties from the term "Obamacare?" When will the madness end?

Study the Common Defense and General Welfare clause in Article 1 section 8 of the Constitution based on Federalist 41: ”Nothing is more natural nor common than first to use a general phrase, and then to explain and qualify it by a recital of particulars." This phrase has been the most abused in the Constitution. It is an introduction into the specific enumerated powers. What is really interesting is that this phrase is followed by a semicolon. The common defense and general welfare clause is part of the same sentence as the enumerated powers.

Well said Joe! Utah statute allows the LG to share data with other government agencies to maintain voter rolls. The statute does not give permission for this data to be shared with private organizations like ERIC.
"Absolutely not."… that is what Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson told KUTV when she was asked if she would ever hand the Justice Department the voter rolls, and now she is taking a victory lap because Judge David Barlow tossed the DOJ case Friday with prejudice so it cannot even be refiled. Let me explain what this is actually about. The DOJ asked for the complete, unredacted voter registration list, the kind of data you need to match a name on the roll to a real driver's license number, a real Social Security number and a real date of birth, and the argument was simple… the Civil Rights Act of 1960 gives the attorney general the authority to inspect voter registration records to make sure states are actually maintaining their rolls. She offered the public list instead, the same list any campaign can get its hands on, and when they said that does not do the job she dug in and said absolutely not. So ask yourself a simple question. If your rolls are clean, why fight this hard to make sure nobody outside your office can check them? Why is the chief election officer of one of the reddest states in the country celebrating the fact that nobody gets to verify the list her own office keeps? How is this even a thing? I am all for privacy, and yet this is not some hacker or some marketing firm asking, it is the federal government asking whether the people on the rolls are real, alive and eligible, which is the entire point of having a roll in the first place. Privacy is the shield they always grab when someone wants to look under the hood, and it works every time because nobody wants to be the guy who argues against privacy. And make no mistake, this is a Republican. Not Jena Griswold, not some blue state secretary of state, a Republican lieutenant governor in Utah doing the exact thing the left would do and calling it a win for fair and secure elections. Meanwhile the DOJ is sending about six lawyers and paralegals to watch Utah polling places in November, and Harmeet Dhillon says that has nothing to do with Henderson. Fine… watch closely anyway. Deidre… if the rolls are clean, prove it and hand them over. @realDonaldTrump take this one to the Tenth Circuit.

Article two section one of the Constitution creates the job of president, called the executive. The president is responsible for ENFORCING the laws. This is an important reminder about our Constitution. The executive branch enforces the laws. President Trump has been doing just that as he enforces the laws about people entering our country illegally and voting in our elections.

Please vote for Shane Manwaring for Salt Lake County Sheriff. He is amazing and is ready to actually take on crime. That is absolutely terrible about that murder. Those boys should have been behind bars.
Our teen Holladay, Utah murderers are both repeat gang criminals. One out on formal probation. Free to kill. These are Sim Gill and Rosie Rivera specials.😡

Article 1 Section 9 of the Constitution gives important protections to individual citizens. The Constitution is the means whereby we maintain our freedoms. It is important we understand those protections. No bills of attainder or ex post facto laws: Congress may not pass a bill of attainder (a law that punishes a specific person or group without a judicial trial) or an ex post facto law (a law that retroactively criminalizes conduct or increases punishment for past acts).

Most citizens don't realize what an important ruling this was by the Supreme Court. This is why President Trump can truly take on the deep state and unelected bureaucrats who think rules don't apply to them. Trump v. Slaughter (No. 25-332), decided June 29, 2026, in a 6-3 ruling.Scotusblog The Supreme Court held that the statutory “for-cause” removal protections for Federal Trade Commission (FTC) commissioners—limiting removal to inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance—violate the Constitution’s separation of powers. Because the FTC exercises executive power (enforcing statutes, issuing rules, conducting adjudications, and bringing civil suits), its commissioners must be removable at will by the President. The Court overruled the longstanding 1935 precedent Humphrey’s Executor v. United States, which had upheld those protections for independent-agency leaders

Think of how many tax dollars are going toward health care for people here illegally! The tax payers never gave permission for that.
Average US family health insurance premium... 1999: $6k 2002: $8k 2005: $11k 2008: $13k 2011: $15k 2014: $17k 2017: $19k 2020: $21k 2023: $24k 2026: $28k That's a 387% increase since 1999 (6.0% per year). (Note: US CPI inflation has increased 2.6%/year)

My cute Ryan gave a presentation tonight about the history of Utah through postcards for the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. Ryan absolutely loves history. He reads history books incessantly. It is so interesting as a mom to see how different kids are with their personalities and talents. He is majoring in history at the University of Utah.

I have said so many times to not believe the polls. You really can't trust that any of the polls are accurate. It is a political tool to demoralize certain candidates.
🔥🚨 BREAKING: FAKE POLLS JUST GOT EXPOSED — AND THE MEDIA SWALLOWED THEM WHOLE! 😱 A polling firm called Wedgewood Polls just ADMITTED it completely FABRICATED its data in a deliberate “social experiment” to see if major outlets would treat the fake numbers as fact… and they did. 👀 Major news organizations, including the New York Times, cited the bogus figures in their polling averages right as the midterms close in. Wedgewood now claims it only wanted to “spark a conversation about data integrity and media literacy” — after FiftyPlusOne caught them red-handed with fraudulent raw data. 📉 Michigan Democrat Mallory McMorrow, who dropped out of the Senate race, says the fake polls may have cost her supporters. She posted that trust is already at an all-time low and the media needs to stop riding the pollercoaster. 🗳️ President Trump has been warning for years that these polls do not give an accurate snapshot of the American people’s feelings — and once again the experts got it wrong. People should stop treating these manufactured numbers as gospel. Vote on reality, not narratives. 🇺🇸 Let Trump cook. The truth is coming out. 🔥

This article highlights some things from the Accountability and Transparency Conference I attended on Monday and Tuesday of this week. It is important for citizens to know that the PID debt is currently around 5.3 billion, but there are a whole bunch that have been approved without the bonds issued yet. This is a terrible direction for Utah to be heading. I organized a meeting with several legislators today about this topic and there is definitely a desire to make changes this session. We MUST start undoing what has happened. "Less than half of the state’s PIDs are in compliance with state transparency requirements, Cannon said. But they have already issued $5.3 billion in debt. That’s up from $3.6 billion just a year ago. Cannon’s office expects the debt to balloon to $13.8 billion when the 150 not-yet-bonded PIDs obtain financing." sltrib.com/news/politics/202…

That is very interesting that Harmeet is coming to Salt Lake. I would like to warmly welcome her. I am very curious to know who is getting indicted.
DCA TO SLC FOR DOJ — another day. Another flight in pursuit of justice. Tune in tomorrow for a major indictment.

Here is another pic from Utah's Accountability and Transparency Conference. Something I learned more about at the conference was about municipal advisors. It is actually a state law for cities to use one so the cities can procure the best deal for the citizens. The municipal advisors have a fiduciary responsibility to the cities and have to put their interest as top priority. An inherent problem with the creation of PIDs is that the deal is usually mostly baked when the PID is actually created and the municipal advisor is brought in. The best interest of the citizens have not necessarily been represented. I can tell you it is the best interest of the developer that has been prioritized.

What does Article 1 section 7 of the Constitution say? It explains how a bill becomes a law. All bills must pass both houses of Congress (house and Senate) in the exact same form. Bills that pass both houses are sent to the president. He can either sign the bill in which case it becomes law or he can veto it. If he vetoes a bill, it is sent back to Congress and if both houses pass it by a 2/3s majority, the bill becomes law over the president's veto. This is known as overriding a veto.
