Cool, crisp air at 10,000 feet on today's hike in the High Uintas. Winter is coming!

We found a fresh blanket of snow for our hike today, as the High Uintas get ready for winter. The mountains are beginning to trade their fall colors for a coat of white.

Remember that time I almost fell off Delicate Arch.

Tucked away in the High Uintas backcountry... clear water, granite pools, and a very happy swimmer.

It was one of those days that makes you forget about everything else. 62 degrees, a cool breeze, and warm sunshine. The air was crisp and clean, the kind you only seem to find at elevation. No crowds, no traffic, no cell service, and, thankfully, no reason to be anywhere else.
