The last thing Britain needs right now is an influx of Gazan students who have been taught pro-Hamas propaganda. Our government is willingly inviting a national security threat. Nobody voted for this level of suicidal empathy.

islam is not a religion, it is a dangerous cult. Unlike other faiths it deserves to be relentlessly mocked, vilified and driven out. It deserves no respect whatsoever.
Nobody is forcing you to become Muslim, eat halal, or follow Sharia. Eat your pork, drink your alcohol, and live your life. 😂 But remember, your freedom to reject Islam is the same freedom Muslims have to practise it. Protecting Japanese culture is your right, disrespecting an entire religion is not a cultural achievement. Know the difference between patriotism and prejudice.

The electorate aren’t goldfish. Our memories are long enough to recall June 2024, when you declared that trans-identified men with penises should be able to use women’s public bathrooms. It took a Supreme Court ruling to force you to uphold women’s rights, and now you pose as our bold champion? Please.
The time for talk has long passed. This government is putting its money where its mouth is when it comes to supporting women and girls. We'll back practical action to confine misogyny to the history books - in public services, workplaces, and online. theguardian.com/society/2026…

Remember when @wesstreeting said he would resign if the Chancellor didn't put in place funding for 3% on defence by 2030? Will we see him resign by the end of the day? Or is he just another hypocrite?

These are the stats John Healey doesn’t want you to read: - By 2031 we’ll be spending £160bn/year on debt interest alone – up £36bn/year. - Borrowing forecasts for the next 5 years have risen £65bn since March. - Unemployment will rise to above 5% until 2027. The Employment Rights Act will “weigh on the labour market” - Government revenue will rise to 43% of GDP by 2031, driven by a record tax burden. - Households will be worse off in every single year of the five year forecast than they were in March. - It’ll take until 2029 to get back to 2019 levels of prosperity. - Growth will be anodyne. GDP per capita grows less than 1% in 2027. It’ll peak at less than 2% per year, despite the AI revolution. - The national debt will stay above 95% of GDP. We will be on a fiscal knife-edge. Britain is Broke. Britain needs Reform.

Today's Aldi excursion. As I leant over to grab my usual 3 bottles of flavoured sparkling water (49p each), a man was next to me loading his trolley with as much bottled water as it would hold. "Sorry about this', he said. "I really don't want to do this but they're panicking me into it". "Well don't do it then" I replied. But he did. The cashier said, when I asked her, loads of people are doing it and she said "Who can blame them when we don't know what's coming - war or AI". Nice to see the Government Nudge Unit doing its work and the sheep are falling for it. Like COVID all over again. Will they never learn - these silly sheep? 🙄

Wind about to start coming off so the cost of balancing should not rise as much this afternoon as it did this morning particular early when demand was low.... But this chart shows the other challenge... Today we had to throw lots of wind away. Tomorrow there's going to hardly any at all... Only just over 2 GW vs over 32 GW installed

BJ nails it. We are 'Leading the World' in fouling up our energy system. I doubt many countries are stupid enough to follow. Though Germany isn't far behind.

🚨 LABOUR COUNCILLOR ARRESTED & CHARGED IN WESTMINSTER HONEYTRAP SCANDAL! Oliver Steadman was a serving Labour councillor when arrested. He now faces SIX criminal charges! ‼️ Accused of blackmailing a Member of Parliament, allegedly demanding the private phone numbers of up to 12 people. ‼️ Accused of sending threatening messages to an MP. ‼️ Accused of sending unsolicited indecent images to FOUR other people, including politicians. ‼️ Suspended by Labour AFTER his arrest and resigned after just 69 days as a councillor! 👉🏻🗓️ His pre trial hearing was scheduled for 12 October 2026. 👉🏻🗓️ His trial is due to begin on 4 October 2027. Steadman has pleaded not guilty to blackmail. This raises major questions about Labour’s vetting. 🤔

If HMRC are allowed to take money from individuals’ bank accounts, as proposed in the budget today, then we are heading to a dark place. This tool could be used against anyone deemed to be a threat by the government of the day.
🚨 NEW: John Healey is set to announce the following in his Budget later - The gas standing charge will be scrapped to save £27 a year on a typical bill - Green levies on energy bills will be scraped "for good" - NHS prescription charges will be frozen at £9.90 for another year - Poorer households on benefits will receive extra help with energy bills before January's sharp rises - The VAT cut on electricity bills, which was due to expire in April, will be extended (though it's not clear if this will be announced in the Budget or separately) - The Government will remove the link between gas and electricity prices, which currently inflates household bills, "in the long term" - Banks will face higher taxes, with the surcharge on their profits potentially rising from 3% to 8%, making it the Budget’s biggest revenue raiser - HMRC will be given powers to seize money from the bank accounts of people who fail to pay their tax - The freeze on rail fares will reportedly not be extended beyond April - Online retailers like Amazon, eBay and Temu will be made responsible for collecting unpaid VAT from sellers to fund a cut in business rates for high street shops - The thresholds for income tax will be frozen again so another half a million people may be dragged into the higher rate - January's planned increase in fuel duty will be cancelled - Pensioners relying solely on the state pension will see their tax-free allowance rise to £13,036, in line with the pension increase, so they don't pay income tax - Billions in long-term borrowing to invest in defence firms and raise the share of GDP spent on defence (without breaking fiscal rules, as the investments are expected to generate returns) - The upcoming "Your First Home" scheme will be made more generous to provide greater support for middle-income earners - The Budget will also assume the Rosebank oil field is approved, which will generate "significant tax revenues"

Nightmare Record Net Zero cost Balancing Grid cost £52million yesterday, now running at £6billion pa, over £200 per household All due to wind & solar challenges Delusional NESO pretend all is fine
So there we have it. Probably the highest day ever in the BM at over £52 million The final number tends to be a bit higher than the trading figure reported by LCP This is what Connect & Manage has done... We spent £52 million because we had to throw away wind in Scotland that we built despite knowing we can't use it Plus NESO not curtailing it before the DA auction meaning instead of gas plant self dispatching it has to be bid on in the BM @Miatsf @mgshanks @AndrewBowie_MP @ClaireCoutinho @harrietc @ColinMoynihanUK @drlukeevans @ashley7fox @TiceRichard @cmackinlay @DavidGHFrost @mattwridley @Iromg @AllisonPearson @MerrynSW @EdConwaySky @afneil @mattotele @jonathan_leake @julietsamuel @energygovuk

Good. WTF has it got to do with you?
Today Israeli authorities barred me and other European elected representatives from entering the West Bank to meet Palestinian students and civil society leaders, as part of a @ProgIntl delegation. We knew that by crossing into the occupied Palestinian territories, we risked being detained, interrogated and turned away by Israeli authorities. And that, alas, is exactly what happened. For more than eight hours, we were held, interrogated and made to feel as though we had done something wrong simply by attempting to enter. The simple truth is we had done nothing wrong. We went to show our support for the Palestinian people and highlight the terrible injustice and violence being perpetrated against them. We want to ensure that people back home do not look away from the reality of what is happening. Ultimately, we went to show solidarity. But we left with an even greater determination to speak out. We will not be silenced, and we will not look away. None of us should.

No. The British people do not want Gazan students. Most, if not all, will have been taught to hate Jews since the crib. We have a crisis of antisemitism - we should not be endangering more British Jews.
