When I’m enjoying a great CFP game between 2 good head coaches and 2 fantastic college QBs but then I find out the TV ratings are only 6.5 instead of 8.0😭😭
College football parity is great until we get USF vs Georgia Tech in the 1st round and nobody watches Tell me I'm wrong and tell me I'm an elitist but the ratings won't lie

When are Texas Tech fans going to realize Joey McGuire is arguably the worst coach in the Big 12?

This might be the dumbest post I've seen on Twitter this weekend. (regarding CFB -- no warranties expressed or implied on the rest of Twitter). Just a three minute look at @TexasTechFB under Coach McGuire shows: 1) He's won 8+ games every season since being hired. In the 15 years prior Tech's win totals ranged from 4 to 7 games. 2) He's had a winning Big 12 record every year since he took over (including the last two years Oklahoma and Texas were in the league). Prior to his arrival in 2022, Tech hadn't had a winning Big 12 conference record since 2009. 3) High School recruiting at Tech has improved from #48 when McGuire took over to #10 currently. That improvement has been incremental each year (43, 25, 18, 10). Tech's last Top 25 class came under Tommy Tuberville in 2010, and prior to that they had two Top 25 classes under Mike Leach. So in four years McGuire has had more Top 25 classes than the last 25 years combined. And that would probably go back to 50 years if I had time to do that much research. There's no doubt that the NIL era has helped Tech, as they have more resources than any other Big 12 program and most of the P4, including most in the SEC and Big Ten. But the improvements in record and recruiting came before NIL and Cody Campbell's donations started. The grass is always greener with fans, and these asinine "fire the coach!" posts are also coming from fan bases at Georgia, Alabama, and every other school that has suffered an upset loss. That's why fans aren't in charge of hiring and firing. If they were every school would be looking for a new coach every season.
When does Texas Tech start thinking about replacing Joey McGuire? I understand what he’s done but that’s a lot of money to spend on a roster and get your ass beat by Cincinnati. Do Tech fans really think they’re gonna win a championship with him as Coach?

SPIN ZONE FOUND!!! Thank you, I was struggling
Game 7 has been a curse for Texas Tech recently 😬 For the fourth straight year, the Red Raiders have lost their 7th game of the season. The good news? Texas Tech has been one of the best teams in the country at home over the past 2 seasons — not losing a single home game. We have a Top 25 matchup this weekend in Lubbock. A huge opportunity to bounce back in a huge way ‼️

As Houston leads 3-0 over Utah, a massive MUST WIN for both teams looms large in Lubbock as Arizona comes to town hot after a dominant win over Iowa State
If Arizona, Oklahoma State, and Houston all win tonight, there will be 6 teams atop the Big 12 with 1 loss. Houston would be in 1st under Big 12 rules at 4-1, and Arizona and Texas Tech would be tied for 2nd with a combined opponent record of 8-9 each. Conference is wide open!

Ignoring all the FGs, 14 point swing right before half & you lose by 13 Feels like EVERYTHING went wrong on offense and somehow one thing goes differently and you’re right there Unfortunately I don’t think Cincy will make this loss look any better with the restt of their games
Ultimately the 5 field goals and the last 1:30 minutes before half is going to cost us this game. Joey preaches it. Have to win the middle 8 and it was as bad as it could be today. 14 point swing right before half

I hate to say it but garbage points here kinda matter. Committee members don’t watch these games, many will look at final scores. Same reason why running it up matters

Why have we had multiple delay of games after timeouts or to start drives??

Going to have to be perfect from here on out. Can’t expect two of Oklahoma State BYU Utah Houston Arizona to have 2 losses. If you want Arlington you need to win out. Offense needs to figure this out fast

Just totally unacceptable with the playmakers we have Coming away from this not impressed with Cincinnati outside of their secondary and Tabb
So you’re telling me: — You had the ball twice past midfield — Your defense forced 2 INTs — Scored on a pick-6 And you came up with 9 points?

The worst part of this is that this cincinnati secondary is especially bad. Gave up 498 passing yards to Michael Hawkins last week. We should have been able to light them up with solely our playmakers
