Coached 43 games in college at 3B this year & 26 for my sons 18U team so far this summer. You witness and see a ton, here is my 🧵 for young players to get better at:
If an umpire calls strike one (and it’s bad), don’t worry and have melt down. Heck, even strike two. NEXT PITCH!

Whether or not I ever step on a baseball field again, I’ll never forget this message. “So what? Next pitch.” Everyone on earth is going to have struggles, but it’s all about how quickly you can bounce back. Don’t let yourself dwell on the past, look forward to the future.
First practice of the JH baseball season will be August 2nd from 5-7 @ the HS field. You must have a current IHSA physical on file to practice. #piratebaseball
Huge thank you to everyone who supported our BBQ stand at the Midsummer Classic this weekend. Most importantly thanks to all of the players and parents who helped out. #piratenation

Encourage kids to play on teams that represent their towns, and their people . Whether it’s travel, club, school, or rec league, it will always mean more to represent your community. You may not win every tournament , but kids learn to compete together. Win and Lose TOGETHER!
