So I been learning more about cannabis breeding. And in order to have "your own strain" it's a series of backcrossing until your seed creates a uniform plant without phenotypes. First crosses are fun. But selected pheno backcrossed 3x from your first crosses makes it Your Strain.
Take the male and get pollen for the female from your F2 seeds. This is now BX1, backcrossed once or 1 time. You repeat the process 2 or 3 times more using the same male, and before you know it, your seeds are 95% homogeneous and there's basically very little genotype difference.
It's true. It seems they already have the abilities to make these for militaries. It'd be catastrophic Hell on Earth if one showed up in any city with the capabilities they have. They're technically "smart" and can go to a set location or choose random targets. Sheer insanity.
Well. I'm pissed. I woke up and seen that my timer on my tent malfunctioned and I have no clue how long my plants have been on 24 hours lighting! I could only assume since seedling about a month ago. I've been talking about slow growth. They tend to do that without darkness! 😅

Nothing that extreme will happen and most people are going to be fine. If you live within proximity of people, there will be enough to go around even if you run out of food. People are going to help others if it comes down to it in USA, I don't see people turning into savages.
Adjusting to new settings in the tent. It's now easier to keep moisture levels up with the drip trays. It stays warm and moist and they're acclimating fine. May buy all the top dressing stuff I need soon. It's very much needed. I've been doing this whole living soil thing wrong.
I can only assume that ai wrote this but I am going to pretend it really happened because it's hilarious! 😂
For fifty eight years, my boss in Tokyo believed that beef should be sliced as thin as paper.
In Japan, we cook thin meat for four seconds in boiling broth. That is our way.
Then last month, the YouTube algorithm showed Director Sato a video of a man in Texas smoking a brisket.
It changed his life.
On Monday morning, he called me to his desk. His eyes were bloodshot.
"Have you seen this?" he whispered, turning his monitor toward me. "The American pitmaster does not sleep for sixteen hours. He sits by the fire in the dark. He guards the meat like a castle."
I said, "Sir, it is just a barbecue."
He slammed his hand on the desk.
"This is not cooking," he said. "This is a vigil."
Last Saturday was our annual company picnic by the river in Kanagawa. Normally, we grill thin meat and yakisoba for two hours and go home at 2:00 PM.
I arrived at 9:30 AM to help set up.
Director Sato was already there.
I want to be accurate here: he had been sitting in a folding chair since 10:00 PM on Friday night. He was wearing a towel around his head and staring at a massive black barrel smoker he had imported from Oklahoma.
Inside I said: THIS MAN HAS ABANDONED CORPORATE LIFE FOR THE SMOKE.
When we tried to help him, he held up a pair of metal tongs and clicked them twice.
"Step back," he said calmly. "The stall has begun. Nobody opens the lid."
Twelve Japanese accountants stood in complete silence around a barrel for four more hours. Nobody dared to eat a single noodle until he gave the signal.
At 1:45 PM, he sliced the meat. It fell apart on the cutting board.
My boss looked at the pink smoke ring, nodded once, and wiped a single tear from his cheek.
He has already submitted an official budget request for a trailer smoker for next fiscal year.
I dried my weed way too much and it's very dry. Does anyone know of any methods to add some moisture back in? Is Boveda suitable for the task? Don't tell me some stupid shit that's going to make the weed taste funny or mold up in my bag please thanks in advance.
This is absurdly good. Wow. It took some time to make this 1 little scene. Imagine all the 3D work. Then making the labels. Reflections. And following the design of a real shop. Layers upon layers. I can really appreciate this kind of effort and hard work. Incredible realism.
