Soooooo in the last week, we came back from Namibia, I gave talks about the Astronomoms and Neurodivergent academics, we went to the gala dinner and cultural evening, we moved hotel to the cape peninsula, went to the beach, and flew to Bloemfontein...
After that, I was invited to give a lesson for 14-18 year olds at a school for autistic children by someone who saw my talk about supporting ND academics at @astronomy2024
Separate Sp Ed has its pros and cons, but I loved connecting with the students and want to do it more often
Finally, again thanks to @LivingMaths , I managed to visit one last school in Bloemfontein where I taught all of the students from grades 3-7 and brought my total number of students this summer up to 1150!

I thought it was super clever getting the 7am flight back to Cape Town so I would be able to get to the conference again for the first session... except I got like 4 hours of sleep and the kids got maybe 6 hours of sleep and so we were all very executive function impaired...
