So the Dream mgmt/ownership did not do anything to anticipate / block out these Finals games ahead of time? Didn’t they have this same issue earlier this series? But decided on Game 6 just now? This can’t be the whole story

My first move as NBA team owner would be bad to ban road teams wearing home white jerseys on our court

I’ll write about this more in depth but a large portion of the Knicks being “bad” is by design. What I mean is, they’re optimized to win the championship not the RS game in front of them. This is a rapid departure from Thibs and even last year, when Brown had to prove himself…

Sure Brown experimented, but this year he’s all in on that lever. Bench units with tons of no star mins. Not running plays. Brunson’s on ball stats way down. Starters under 34 mpg in three close contests. Doubt this stuff is feeding into intensity issues but maybe?

Could get bad enough that Brown makes some changes like he did last season. They could work through it and flip a switch. Winning a championship comes with the privilege of not particularly caring and trusting the process, coach, team :)

What are we watching tonight?

I promise you this is not the reason, not even in the top ten reasons, the Knicks are 0-3

Tim MacMahon calls out James Dolan after the Knicks fall to 0-3: “They need James Dolan to shut up, that’s what they need. There’s too much drama, there’s too many distractions. Leave it to James Dolan to suck the joy out of a post-championship thing.”

That championship healed something, an 0-3 start in a different year would have me in cuffs

I've appreciated some of the easy looks Kolek has created for others. He has 6 assists in just 12 minutes
