Honoured to attend the Speaker’s Black History Month Reception and welcome service personnel to Parliament. Representation matters. As the former Chair of the RAF Ethnic Minority Network, I am always proud to see former colleagues engaging with BHM and our Parliament. ❤️

Our Armed Forces personnel give so much in service to our country. When they leave service, accessing support should be simple. That's why I was pleased to highlight investment in new VALOUR veteran support centres yesterday, with more locations to be announced soon. 👇

💂 The Princess Royal attended a rededication of The Guards Memorial at Horse Guards in London to commemorate 100 years since the memorial was unveiled. The memorial stands today to commemorate the First World War and Second World War and the 14,600 men who never came home. At the memorial, Her Royal Highness also met 100-year-old John Barber who served in the Irish Guards from 1944 to 1948 and is the same age as the memorial.

Next year will mark 45 years since British forces liberated the Falkland Islands. For some of those veterans who fought in that conflict, this may be one of the last major anniversaries they see. We have confirmed that commemorations will take place on the islands to mark the anniversary, honouring those who paid the ultimate price for the freedom of the Falkland Islanders.

Celebrating visibility. Championing inclusion. Inspiring change. 🏳️‍🌈 The LGBTQ+ Defence Awards celebrate the people and initiatives making a real difference across the Armed Forces and wider defence industry. But there’s still work to be done. 70% of LGBTQ+ professionals say they have no LGBTQ+ role models to look up to at work. Visibility matters. Seeing people succeed while being their authentic selves can help others feel safer, more supported and empowered to do the same. From outstanding leaders to rising stars and initiatives driving inclusion, this year’s awards shine a spotlight on those helping create a more inclusive future for everyone. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees! 👏 #LGBTQDefenceAwards
