I gotta say...🥲 this has got to be the best, most sweetest and absolutely heartfelt tweet I have been a part of not because I was tagged but because of who he appreciates and what he notices; it's so cool to see who else he can depend on and what they do. Even when he isn't ok behind the smile, he is guaranteed to make us laugh. It's a beautiful way to hold hands thru this crazy thing called life. Thank you Mr. G5 for being an important pillar in our lives and keeping it real. I'll always notice you. I always got you. I love you! My dad is 74. Before his heart attack and quadruple bypass heart surgery in May, he was always on the go and doing something. Every morning he drove to his favorite donut shop to get his morning coffee and hang out with the locals. He would always do yard work, fix something or work on something in his garage. He never stayed still. The surgery aged him and he isn't able to do the things he used to do - the things he wants to do and it's killing him...literally. The surgery aged him at least 15 years. He's frail. He's out of breath. His legs shake when he gets up and now he must use a wheel chair when it's too hard to use his cane. You can see it in his eyes and face that he is tired emotionally and physically to the point where I think he may be ready for the Lord to call him home. He misses his parents. He misses his daughter. But he's still holding on. Yesterday we went to the San Diego zoo and he walked his way to a kids play area and watched them play for a good 15 mins. I don't know what was going thru his mind but I knew it was deep. Maybe he was admiring the parents having fun with their kids. Maybe he was thinking back to when my sisters and I were kids. Maybe he was missing something or missing his own youth. Whatever it was, it was deep enough for him to stand there for as long as he did. I don't recognize his face anymore. I don't see the young dad he always seemed to be for me. Instead I see an old man who looks 94 instead of 74 and it makes me sad for me and for him. Sad for me because I know my time with him is limited. Sad for him because he's in denial about getting old. I went from relying on him to take care me to him relying on me to take care of him. I love my dad. He is my hero and it's so hard seeing your hero lose his spark because of age but I'll always be there for him just as he was for me. I just wish I could do more for him like turn back time just a few notches. Love you, pops! You got this! It ain't over for you, yet!

Streamers, one of the kindest things you can do for yourself is let people leave when they no longer want to stay. Even those who supported you, followed you, or were once part of your inner gaming circle. Stop chasing unanswered texts. Stop searching old conversations for answers. Stop begging for closure. It’s going to hurt. Gaming friends and those who come around your stream can feel like family and their absence leaves a void but letting go isn’t giving up. It’s choosing self respect over chasing people who no longer choose you. People are allowed to leave but you’re allowed to move forward, too. Release what’s gone and make room for what’s next. You can genuinely love and value the people who were once part of your gaming journey without chasing them when they choose to leave. You can miss them, appreciate the memories, and still choose your peace. Not everyone who leaves is meant to return, and not every ending needs an explanation. Keep your heart, protect your peace, and never measure your worth by who stays.

It's always comical to me when gamers in their early 20s bash and make fun of gamers who are in their 40s calling them, "old AF." They'll be 40 one day and still gaming...and a few of them won't even make it to 40. When it comes to gaming, there is no age.

We live in some kind of backwards society where you don’t get fucked with for being a bad person, you get fucked with for being a good person. It’s really weird.

Follow up question based on this response: Would you rather have 10K followers and an extremely active chat where you miss 75% of the messages, or have a smaller following with a slower paced chat that allows you to interact with and acknowledge everyone?
Replying to @VextraG6
In terms of devils advocate im sure everyone is genuine. Regardless of the few that are truly utter shit and assholes. But the ones that are genuine the ines with crazy followers and chat it’s just honestly probably hard af to keep up with chat. I think thats what it is.

Streamers & creators need to stop worrying about people that don’t like them anyways. Fuck em. Do YOUR thing.

Instead of throwing them away, I'm going to use them as boxes for Christmas gifts. It's not often I play Grinch during Christmas. 😈
Ok is it just me or do any of you find it almost impossible to throw away the boxes your electronics come in? I know they're just boxes but what if I need them later which I won't but still? Who refuses to throw away their console boxes or any other gaming/electronic boxes?

Do you think streamers with smaller accounts (5000 or less followers) are more genuine than big creators (10K or more)?

Streamers, here are little life hacks when it comes to streaming. 1. Learn to be ok with saying no. Saying no is a good thing. If you say no them, they’ll cope and you will, too. 2. You're job isn't to please everyone. In fact, you never will. Be a people person...not a people pleaser. 3. 9/10 some people are using you to get what they want. Don't let them. Go out there, use your skills and get what YOU want. 4. Put your feelings into consideration. Trust your feelings because you think back at moments that changed and you'll realized those feelings saved you in some way. And lastly, but most importantly... 5. You're not a doormat! Be there to welcome people in; not to be stepped on!

My timeline is nothing but VTuber profile pictures! I rarely see actual human faces now. It's starting to look like Cartoon Network.

Coworker got a new 2027 truck. I said, "Hey, congratulations! She's a beauty!" Coworker looks at me all disgusted and said, "Why are you gendering my truck? It's a truck. Not a person." I was going to explain why we've been calling vehicles "she" for generations but I decided to let him be clueless. Nobody’s trying to put your truck on a dating app you little Gen Z squirt. Chill out.

I have a friend who built a gaming PC and I was really proud of her for looking into things and getting it all set up. Unfortunately she couldn't really afford to get a gaming monitor and a 2nd display monitor needed for her Discord, Twitch and casual streaming. She was using a TV so I hooked her up with two monitors. The one thing I always see within the gaming/streaming community is that people really look out for their friends. Don't have a monitor? We got you. Don't have a gaming chair? We got you. Don't have a game? We got you. We are a team in the game and we are a team IRL. Giving back and seeing the appreciation, for me anyway, is far more rewarding than subs or donos ever could.

Keep in mind that there are other ways to show love and appreciation to your favorite streamer(s) without sending money. Please stop apologizing for not being able to sub, gift or donate. Giving back should always come after you take care of yourself first especially when it comes to finances. Just showing up is the best way to give back to streamers. Your presence is enough!

When I tell certain people of my family tree that I'm a gamer and streamer, they tell me to get out and make real friends to which I tell them that most of gamer friends are more real to me than some of my IRL friends. They will never understand that the gamer friends I have in my circle are some of the most loyal and realest people I will ever meet.

Got to see Bush tonight at the fair. There's something about bands from the 90s (post-grunge and alternative rock) that hit differently. It was during a time where Millennials were really adjusting to life. We weren't kids but we weren't quite adults either. Bands like Stones Temple Pilots, Everclear, Alice n Chain, Nirvana and Soundgarden had us feeling wild and free yet understood. It was great seeing Gavin playing all the songs I listened to with my late sister. 🥹

It's always been 👀👂with Eddie and Santamaria but never a 🎯 change. Streamers always spoke up about the issues with Kick and the changes that needed to be made in order for both Kick and the streamers to grow. The thing is, Kick was originally made to be a streamers platform but when they brought on all these famous people for millions of dollars, it became an influencers platform and got overrun by people doing stupid things for content and making Kick more controversial and a turn off for the ones who were actually streaming for the platform. Any streamer who is in it for the right reasons will tell you that it's never about the money (yes, it's a bonus and the 95/5 is great). It's about having a platform that feels good and where we can all just vibe as streamers to work together for the content we make, the games we play and for the communities we value. Siefe nailed it. If Kick doesn't truly listen to the streamers and actually execute, then Kick could very well be another Mixer and Facebook gaming.
Ok so here’s my response to the Kick drama lately. I think a lot of Kick creators would agree to some of this. There’s a lot more but this is just some broad strokes that should help. Let me know when you want to talk. @Svntvmvriv @StakeEddie @KICKEthan
