One of the MOST IMPORTANT THINGS your city could do to become more healthy, sustainable, livable, affordable, equitable, successful — stop pretending to “balance” transportation modes, and commit to PRIORITIZING walking/rolling, biking, public transit. HT @dublincycling’s graphic

Watching folx so vigorously defend a funeral service for a police dog damn well knowing that many of those same folx aren’t lending their voices to #SearchTheLandfill so that the remains of Indigenous women can be retrieved and laid to rest giving their families closure hurts. – at London, Ontario

Seriously, this is Tree Law time. Sidewalk trees are almost always public property, and if they’re where picketers are permitted, then 100% they’re public property, and it turns out killing city property (which this will do, good job, Universal, you’re tree murderers) is BAD.
Quick shoutout to the good people at @UniversalPics for trimming the trees that gave our picket line shade right before a 90+ degree week.
My elderly neighbour just offered me a $100 bill after I picked up a bag of milk for her. I couldn't quite tell what she was saying b/c she was forgetting her English but it just made me sad for how much financial elder abuse there probably is out there.
And obviously I didn't take it! But now I am going to have to watch for her out-of-town kids to come by so I can let them know what is up.

Nothing really drives home the reality of coming from a family with no generational wealth than going through end-of-life finances after one of your parents die. I've never been able to rely on my parents for financial support beyond the basics, and I'm feeling that even more now

apparently a lot of cis women need to hear this but a world where our faces, bodies, hair, breasts, clothing and voice are constantly scrutinized as "not feminine enough" is infinitely more dangerous than a world where trans women might also be in the bathroom and need to pee
Having a grown sibling living with us has made all of us realize that 3 adults in a household makes EVERYTHING easier, even without kids. The chores, the errands, the hangouts...everything is better and easier. (Except vehicle sharing thanks to bad inter-city public transpo)

D&D Long Rest but in real life!

My wife and I talked about this a lot when the kids were poor-sleeping babies. If there were 3 adults, then we could all sleep in rotations so everyone gets 8 hours of sleep? And it would be so great???

behavior is, the more idealized it is.
This is how you got these insane situations in youth groups where suddenly being a virgin when you got married is suddenly not enough. What about not being kissed until you're married? What about not being alone with your boyfriend? etc.

ten more babies, but they might have encouraged the kids to disdain non-Christian colleges, start thinking seriously about marrying soon, and be the next generation that would have ten homeschooled kids.
A lot of this was also present in churches through what I've come to think
