if i remember correct that safety threatened to kill one of the senior offensive lineman by stabbing him to death and then hit him in the head with his helmet and ended up getting arrested and kicked off the team

this is incorrect. you need to mid-side EQ EVERY peak of the kick transient and tail of kicks. after that you need to individually saturate and multiband compress them to maximize dynamics between the peaks. then EQ for each subwoofer type the song may be played on in the future.

its crazy how much headroom people lose by doing sidechain wrong. the key to good headroom is by phase aligning the transient of your kicks to each harmonic, purely through addition. shaperbox can't do this, and my mixes got 12x better

PLEASE refer to the user manuals of the subwoofers you EQ for. I have heard so many songs that were EQ'd for PK Audio subs but being played on different brands! this is the key to success in music. do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
