I’m worried about the yields thing. Should I progressively deleverage back to ~1 beta? Historically, 2ish beta has been very strong in the long term, but fiscal dominance is concerning. It seems like we are in a bad regime here.

Lots of people in the AI realm think that radical life extension, brain uploading, interstellar travel, dyson sphere level space construction, self replicating nanobots, etc are possible, and all of the discussions about AI actually rest on those premises as well.
