This is no different from CEOs and billionaires who admit "ofc, I don't want to pay taxes" as advocating for their class position. If you're not the offspring of an A or B list celeb, and you stan nepotism, you are no more savvy than a coal miner applauding robber barons.

Damn, the UK has somehow managed to top its video nasties era nonsense with this moral panic-driven nanny statism over kinks.
Telling that an insidiously self-satisfied, romanticist fantasist like Sorkin is liberalism's voice on screen today. Contrast to Lumet, a fierce liberal, but not a deluded idealist about institutions, their failings, individualism, & the fragility of liberal order.
Congrats to @TonyMaglio for writing the only worthwhile piece on the whole Shane Gillis SNL monologue. Hit on the nexus between the attention economy, SNL's audience, Gillis' constructed persona (spot on observation: Gillis is more self-aware than he lets on), etc.
