Päijät-Häme Grain Cluster arranged the traditional Milling & Malting Grain Seminar on Jan 30, 2023 in Lahti. Some 180 contract farmers attended the event to hear about malting barley and milling grain outlook by Christian Tallskog from Viking Malt and Tero Hirvi from Fazer Mills.
For the first time, Viking Malt has reached the CDP score A- for climate change. Our score for water security remained a strong B. We are extremely proud of our first A-, while we continue to work on reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and water usage on a Group level.

Nearly a year ago, on June 15, 2021, we laid the foundation stone for our new plant in Lahti 🏭. And last week, June 1, 2022, we celebrated the topping out ceremony at the construction site. It was also an occasion to thank all the construction workers for their hard work.
