agents are really good at copying and remixing, you just have to tell them to reference prior art (for better or worse)

mr beast's "push through no's" also applies to working with agents, yes astra you can make the app 1000x faster stop telling me it's not possible

So far, the most useful thing I’ve built on wherebird is the commute area finder. It doesn’t really exist anywhere else, especially serving dual-commute households. The next most useful thing built is layering that on top of a POI area finder. This is still very work-in-progress. The data only exists in a few places, it’s not curated, and it’s a horrible experience to filter down to your specific place preferences. But it kinda works! People I’ve talked to wish something like this existed when they were trying to figure out where to move (I’ve definitely wished something like this existed), but I really gotta nail down to solve real customer problems to turn this from a cool tool to solving a real need. More to come!

See the search below 20m transit commute to Stripe NYC with a hand-picked list of grocery stores within a 10m walk and some bougie gyms within a 10m walk above! Try it out at wherebird.com fwiw, I'm building out better link sharing so you can go see that exact commute shared above and will remove the sign-in wall, coming soon

the worst part of working in a distributed team is the lack of whiteboarding... missing out on so much fun
We could increase global GDP by 2% just by installing large whiteboards in every home.

they know if they don't lock that shit down right now they're screwed
Reddit is announcing a huge shift: It’s going to start requiring users to log in. Reddit is becoming a ‘logged-in-only experience,’ says CEO Steve Huffman theverge.com/tech/1022571/re…

working as an swe means nonstop slop PRs from your own agents and your teammates agents it's exhausting
Working in B2B sales now means non stop slop RFPs and slop contract reviews. It's exhausting

turns out ux design is a lot harder that it seems, huge respect to the designers out there

crazy how my addictions decrease on the weekend 😅
You aren't addicted TO scrolling/ vaping/ overworking, you're addicted to anesthesia. This is why your attempts to curb addictions require so much willpower

og google maps is should be like the 8th wonder of the world
Still blows my mind someone at Google would of came up with the idea of Google Maps / Google Earth Then suggested that they drive down every road on the planet and take pictures of it And then they actually went and did it

ix how fast EVs depreciate and then we'll tak
It's really no wonder EVs are increasing in market share: they're incredibly efficient!

it's crazy how accurate this is, nobody cares about preventing huge issues (same is true in real world politics and goverment)
Many engineers should be doing less work. I don’t necessarily mean producing less code or fewer changes, but literally working fewer hours in the day. When they do work, they should be working at a slower pace.
