We’re halfway through the Sports Visibility Wikithon. As we pass this milestone, the Project will hit pause given the events of the past week. We want to use this time to support the efforts and protests against police brutality and systemic racism. #BlackLivesMatter (1/3)

We want to harness this network to raise funds, organize protest attendance, & support Black people. We want to amplify efforts. Wiki pages can increase visibility of marginalized people, but they can't compare to the efforts needed to address systemic racism in the US. (2/3)

We will have an update in a week regarding how we hope to support our mission while honoring the pain and harm being done to those in Black communities. In the meantime, below are some resources to use, read, and share in support of this movement. (3/3)

If you are one of the apparel companies, can you DM me or email @VisibilityWiki a list of articles/press mentions that verifies your existence as a company? Preference of citations from news/website sources not affiliated w/ Ultimate community, but we'll take what you got!

A shoutout to my dear friend @glassfullofsass. Last week I got her @DCShadowUlti jersey and this week I wrote her Wikipedia page (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashlei…) for the @VisibilityWiki project! We're making great progress in writing a more inclusive ultimate history. Please join us!

We’d also love to get pages up & running, if we have enough citations, for @eileencmurray & @khunsanana who are interviewed in this article. Any one interested in becoming an editor & helping us create pages for these Ultimate innovators? #UltimateWiki

(Or, if you have a secret stash of articles on either Murray or Amin, sliiiiide those into our DM’s! Scouring google for article citations is time consuming & we’d love to make it as easy as possible for new editors to just grab articles & get to building pages!) #UltimateWiki
Throwback Thursday! In fall of ‘16 Boston University Women’s Ultimate started the “I Need Feminism Because” photo series. Photos went viral, spawned multiple copy-cat photos, & covered by Boston Globe! Check out the new Wikipedia page: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_ne… #UltimateWiki
