Today marks 20 years since the repeal of Section 28 in England and Wales. The law silenced any discussion of lesbian and gay matters in schools, and was law for 15 years between 1988 and 2003.
20 years since Section 28. 20 years after the Section 28 repeal, our CEO Laura Mackay reflects on her time at school and the challenges that still remain for LGBT+ school pupils.

Sunart is a Special Area of Conservation because of its ancient oaks and its high density of otters. I often sit on the shore in front of our house looking for otters. Here’s a video of one encounter. Watch it to the end to see the otter’s reaction when it realises I’m there. – at Scotland, United Kingdom

'Love demands expression. It will not stay still, stay silent, be good, be modest, be seen and not heard, no. It will break out in tongues of praise, the high note that smashes the glass and spills the liquid...' — Written on the Body, Jeanette Winterson Wishing all a happy and hopeful #PrideMonth.

Happy #PrideMonth 🏳️‍🌈 everyone! It’s so important that we unite as a community and stand up to anyone and everyone who is working to make life even tougher for LGBTQ+ folk. Queer and trans people are in danger! We’ll be showing our pride this month, and every month!

Headed home from my week in the Highlands seeing projects, partners, and meeting with lots of the @ChangeworksUK team from Campbelltown to Thurso & back. Lots to reflect on, and some big challenges to tackling #decarbonisation & #FuelPoverty, but excited to take on the challenge.
