From “Unknown” to Trusted Collab Manager — The Real Blueprint
Let’s be real — becoming a solid Collab Manager in Web3 isn’t luck. It’s strategy + patience + people skills.
🧵
Here’s the simple but powerful path:
✔️ Start by making friends: Not just connections. Actual friendships. Get active in Web3 communities, help out, and be someone people enjoy working with. This is your foundation.
✔️ Offer value first: Take on small roles like helping gather WL spots or managing community tasks. These early roles build trust and give you real experience to show off later.
✔️ Get used to rejection: Most founders want someone “experienced.” Don’t let that stop you. Apply anyway. You’ll hear “no” a lot — but one “yes” can change everything.
✔️ Track everything: Every person you meet, every collab you manage — write it down. Build a contact list with names and roles. This becomes your biggest asset over time.
✔️ Negotiate smart: As a beginner, you might start with post-mint pay (risky but useful for building your rep). Once you have proof of work, ask for upfront or weekly pay based on results.
✔️ Go the extra mile: Don’t just do the job — do it well. Make your founders’ lives easier. Bring collabs, share updates, and be reliable. That’s how referrals happen.
✔️ Stay humble: Don’t forget the people who helped you rise. Be kind to those just starting. The space moves fast — today’s beginner could be tomorrow’s founder.
I started with no network, no experience, just vibes and effort. Now I’ve managed multiple projects, built lasting connections, and learned that consistency wins more than talent alone.
Keep grinding. You’ll get there too.
No Web3 experience? You can still build a portfolio that gets you noticed.
You don’t need to wait for someone to hire you before proving your skills.
You can create work samples using real projects, even if you’ve never worked with one.
Here’s how to build your first Web3 portfolio from scratch 🧵👇
1. Pick ONE role first.
Don’t try to become a community manager, researcher, content writer, and BD specialist all at once.
Choose the skill you want to get paid for.
For example:
Community management
Content writing
Research
Partnerships/BD
Let’s say you choose community management.
Your task is to prove you can help a project build an active community, not just that you know how to chat on Telegram.
2. Find a real project to study.
Open X and search for phrases like:
“launching soon” crypto
“testnet live” Web3
“community update” crypto
Pick a project with a real product and an active audience.
Check its website, recent X posts, and public community discussions.
Your goal: Find one specific problem you could help solve.
Don’t invent problems just to have something to write about.
3. Turn that problem into a work sample.
Imagine you find a project whose community members repeatedly ask the same questions about its product.
Instead of simply saying, “I can manage your community,” create:
A list of 5 common questions and clear answers
A 7-day community engagement plan
3 discussion prompts for members
2 educational posts explaining the product
Now you have something tangible to show a founder.
4. Put your work somewhere people can view it.
You don’t need an expensive website.
Use Notion or Google Drive.
Create a simple portfolio page containing:
The project you studied
The problem you identified
Your proposed solution
Your actual work samples
How you’d measure whether your idea worked
Be honest: if it’s a sample project, label it as one.
Never claim you worked with a project or achieved results you didn’t.
5. Make your portfolio specific enough to sell your skills.
Compare these two pitches:
❌ “I’m a passionate Web3 community manager looking for opportunities.”
✅ “I reviewed your community’s recent discussions and created a 7-day engagement plan, including discussion prompts and educational content. Here’s the sample: [link]”
The second message gives a founder a reason to look at your work.
It doesn’t guarantee a job, but it gives them something concrete to evaluate.
Your 48-hour challenge:
Today:
Choose one Web3 role.
Find one real project.
Identify one problem.
Create one useful work sample.
Tomorrow:
Finish your portfolio page.
Find 3 projects that could benefit from your skill.
Send each one a personalized message with your sample.
Don’t spend weeks waiting until you feel qualified.
Start by demonstrating what you can do.

Institutions need proof without exposing everything.
I stand by the idea that institutional finance needs privacy without sacrificing verification. Financial institutions must be able to prove important information without exposing every sensitive detail.
@primus_labs is bringing privacy and verification together for institutional onchain finance.
Its zkTLS technology can help verify information from websites, while FHE enables computation on encrypted data.
These approaches are relevant when financial information stays offchain but needs to support onchain decisions.
Prove what needs to be trusted and protect what needs to stay private.

The real challenge with onchain privacy is making sure the numbers still add up
Hiding individual balances is one thing, Making the entire system verifiable without exposing everyone’s financial activity is a much harder problem
That’s what makes the approach from @primus_labs interesting
With its Confidential Vault on @BNBCHAIN , users can put encrypted assets to work through an existing yield strategy while keeping their individual positions private
The goal isn’t to make the system a black box. It’s to separate what the public needs to verify from what should stay private to each user
You shouldn’t have to expose your entire financial position just to prove the system works
That’s a much more useful direction for onchain finance

a decentralized data network needs more than contributors. it needs a way to connect useful work with verifiable records and actual payments.
that’s the part of @vangrid_io i find worth examining.
with captures verified, sales settled in usdc, and payouts recorded onchain through base, the network is building a transaction layer around real world data collection.
this creates a more transparent trail between the person capturing a location and the party paying for that data.
but transparency is only one piece. consistent data quality, genuine buyer demand, and repeat transactions will matter just as much in determining whether this model can sustain itself.
the infrastructure is taking shape. adoption will be the next thing to watch.

🤝 Paid partnership
Voice agents need models built for their job.
@hopper_research trains open-weight models on real production calls
- Gemma 4 31B at 80ms TTFT
- Qwen 3 TTS at 150ms TTFA
- Models improve against live traffic
- Inference built for real-time voice
smaller, specialized models could make voice ai much cheaper to run.
🤝 Paid partnership
There’s a huge blindspot in the inference market today: it’s built almost entirely for coding agents.
Voice is how billions of people will interface with AGI. That’s what we’re building at @hopper_research : the inference cloud for voice
