The way he just materializes out of nowhere in that anemo-ish teal glow
The way this is Wanderer meeting Kabukimono 400 or so years BEFORE Wanderer even comes to be
The way this meeting was already mentioned in the Bloom Times description where Scaramouche is called "wanderer" +

This is the one time I'll engage with you, I'm blocking right after.
You can whine and cry all you want about woke and "bad writing" but I remember this game was targeted the second the trailer dropped because people didn't like the way it LOOKED.
BECAUSE IT WASN'T ORIGINS.
I put 162.8 hours into Dragon Age: The Veilguard and earned every achievement.
So I think I've earned the right to discuss why it ultimately wasn't great, beyond the fact they didn't listen to outside help - including the community council and seemingly those on the Mass Effect team.
Veilguard feels like ideals were written first, and a narrative and gameplay was stretched awkwardly around that.
To live out one persons ideal fantasy..
Rather than letting players genuinely roleplay.
That's why we can't make honest decisions that go against this fantasy.
That's why so many dialogue choices lead to the same outcome.
That's why we can't make decisions that meaningfully challenge your companions.
That's why the stakes often feel strangely low, even when the world is supposedly on the brink.
Ideals, like being kind, are great. Messages have been in RPGs since the 90s. The difference is a good story was the focus first with messages fitting around it. Being good is meaningless if you have no capacity for evil.
Underneath Veilguard, there are flashes of a genuinely great Dragon Age game. Which makes it even more disappointing. I enjoyed some of the gameplay including combat.
But it never felt like it was made for players like me, it felt like it was made despite us.
For what? Clicks. Engagement. Traffic. Ad revenue.
You're not content "creators", you don't create shit, you just make a riot for profit.
If you truly gave a damn about gaming you'd report honestly, with the information available. Objectively, not driving the narrative this way.

Omfg that's every hospital drama ever made! This is ridiculous
An appeals court ruled that βThe Pittβ is similar enough to βERβ to allow Michael Crichtonβs widow to pursue a lawsuit over the Emmy-winning show.
The appeals court did dismiss a claim against key creators of the show β Noah Wyle, John Wells and R. Scott Gemmill β finding no evidence that they were aware they could be violating Crichtonβs contractual rights.
βThere are clear and numerous similarities between βThe Pittβ and βER,β the court ruled, citing the emergency room setting, the fast pace, the medical jargon, the graphic depictions of injuries, and a young, incompetent doctor fresh from medical school. βWe find the details here suffice for a prima facie case.β

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The lawsuit isnβt based solely on similarities between the shows. The Pitt emerged after negotiations for an ER revival fell apart, which would have seen Noah Wyle reprise his role as Dr. John Carter.
