Ignore most of the posts on this account. Focusing a lot of my art stuff to other projects for now.
Mainly just joining dumb twitter arguments more for the sake of writing down my own thoughts than for having them seen.
Keeps everything else clean from discourse.
If AI people TRULY felt that writing prompts was this passionate, laborous task of artistic expression, you wouldn't be writing prompts. You would be writing stories
But the reality is that stories don't sell fast, and blank scraps of writing dont bring easy twitter likes
In terms of overall performance its Poison by a fair bit (Built defensively but no good resistance, w/ poor offense)
In terms of effective design compared to how its being built its Ice by a landslide (Glass cannon type trying to be bulk??)
If you say Bug you're insane
This is awesome, anybody can code! You don't even need to know how!
Learn what I'm doing? Nah man the AI knows! If I run into a hurdle I just get the AI to finish it
Bugfixing? Sharing resources? Streamlining? Dude, if it doesn't work I just ask the AI to do it again, its easy!
"AI Coding" is this vast gray area where technically speaking people have been automating code shit for decades now but there's a stark difference between "Yeah I let the AI complete tedium for me" and "This entire project is AI and I have no idea how it works or how to fix it"

The reason something like the vibecode mods were awful is because its functionally useless. The people making them had no idea how they worked so they functioned like shit, couldn't be fixed, and there was no knowledge to be passed on for people to make LEGIT mod versions
I'm TRIPLING down on this and saying that there is no such thing as the "casual fanbase". Who ARE the casuals? If its not the comp players making slander or the oc/stan fandom then who's left? The romhack players? Those guys are too busy waiting 3 years for another Emerald hack
My scalding, boiling take is that all the Showdown/Champions memes ARE the casual fan memes. The pokemon PLAYER space has shifted towards almost an FGC type community
Its the pokemon FANDOM that doesn't make new memes cause tbh they really don't interact with the core series
Pokemon competitive is a changing landscape with constant meta changes that "allow" for more RELEVANT jokes to be made
But that can't be said for the main series where nothing really interesting happens. The fandom creators just focuses on their chosen little guy and thats all
Before you post or respond to
miscellaneous videogame reviews online, make sure to ask yourself:
"Was this review written as an analysis of a current product, or as a comparison to a prior milestone?"
If its the latter, its not worth it. Just move on.
I've already seen a dozen AI mods on the timeline from shit like this to rpgs and even fighting games. And its the saddest most shameless shit imagineable because you can FEEL the lack of passion
It's just lame vibecoders slapping toy parts together for nothing but twitter likes
Yes bro by Canto 8 -10 you should have an actual team after dozens of hours of playing this game and getting resources
I could think of nothing worse for a new player experience than 12 cantos of LCCB and RCorp in the loadout
